Wow no-one been to any car boots since my last post?

Went to one recently and got:
Viva pinata Trouble in paradise - Xbox 360 (sealed)
The Club - PS3
The sims complete collection - PC
The sims + The sims making magic
Dragonball Z ultimate battle 22 - PSone
Driver Parallel lines - PS2
Mercenaries - xbox
Half Life 2 GoTY edition - PC

All for ?17.50

And once I've sold The sims stuff, Half life 2, Driver and Dragonball z I should have made a nice profit from my visit to the carboot and acquired Two games I've been after.
Not sure about the club, might sell it, depends how much I like it.

Also got my Transformers 2 disc special edition Bluray freebie today from Tesco. (Had a choice of 5 free blu-rays if you signed up for their free trial)

Popped into the charity shop to see if I can find any good books to keep the girlfriend happy when I hog the TV playing games (I buy them cos I love her really!) and found a very nice, complete copy of Dreamcast (PAL) Street Fighter 3 for 2 quid.

Now, do I flog it for ?20+ on the bay or keep it?

I went to one this morning but it was all PS2 football games and ****e basically. There was a guy running a gaming stall but it was all overpriced stuff so I didn't bother. Quite fancied a mint GB pocket but it was a tenner and I couldn't be arsed to give him any of my money really.

Most car boot sales around here are pretty rubbish. Rarely find any good stuff. Also doesn't help that you really need to get down to them pretty early, there are a lot of people who go to car boot sales and watch people unpack their cars, making offers on under valued stuff.

On my way home from work today I came across a sign pointing down a road saying 'yard sale this way' and gave an address. I had to check with my brother what country I was in. Do we have yard sales in the UK?

I managed an instruction manual-less PAL copy of Tales of Symphonia on GC from a local one a couple of weekends back for a whole £2, so they're not all bad.

yeah theirs a guy at our local one who goes round early on hoovers up all the games stuff and sells it on his stall for a tidy profit, i had a bit of a clear out before my son was born and refused to sell him anything. He was trying to get stuff from me for penny's when i know he would just take it back to his little stall and inflate the price.

He was selling bare GBA carts for £8 and when someone complained that was a bit pricy for a boot-sale, he said 'I could get £20 for that if I put it on ebay'

I looked at him and thought, why the f*ck don't you then, because you wouldn't thats why. Then I refused to buy any of his stuff. It was all mainly rubbish anyway, no retro stuff. The guy clearly new the bare minimum about games too and was just dropping names basically.

Picked up a PS2 copy of Psychonauts for £2 which makes a change as my car boot usually only has 50,000 copies of various Fifa variants.
Main bargain was a new Epson perfection USB scanner for 50p.
Can finally retire the Epson SCSI one.

was the "big" twice yearly car boot around here today. Never have I seen such tat for sale. Anyhow there was very little worth mentioning gaming wise. All the usual suspects which gave me the feeling that someone had been round already and bought all the good games out of peoples collections. Got a sealed copy of Batman Begins on Bluray for £4 and went on my merry way.
