absolutely nothing wrong with the nintendogs score imo.
i've been playing it since the japanese launch, as have some of the gametm guys who post here i beleive, i certainly think nearly 6 months is long enough to form an opinion.
anyway, the difference between a 7 and 8 is hardly worth getting too bothered by. its still a good score no matter how you look at it.

I'm interested in the Spartan Total Warrior review. Games TM spent a lot of time and space in past issues saying how good it was. Surprise, surprise it gets a well above average 7/10 - same as Far Cry Instincts.
But many user reviews from the US reckon Spartan TW is a mindless button basher little better than Dynasty Warriors. The only impressive thing about the graphics is said to be the impressive number of characters on screen.
I'm hanging fire on getting it (if at all) until a few more reviews are in.

Burnout Revenge [XB] 9/10
Burnout Legends [PSP] 9/10
I know it's all about opinions and so forth, but good Lord, there is a limit. Straight up, lay off the drugs boys, the human body wasn't designed to take that sort of abuse.Last edited by Il Postino; 06-10-2005, 10:29.

Not wishing to hammer the point home, but what you've done here is acknowledged someone's argument... and then totally disregarded it. He said you have to read the text to see if you agree with the points made - maybe you should do that, eh? Because people who don't do that don't really have a leg to stand on when arguing in a thread like this. "It's not a 7, it's an 8, wah wah." How constructive.
(For the record, I'm keeping a copy of this post on my desktop - that way, I can just wheel it out every single month from here on in and save myself the trouble of having to think).
While it's certainly true we have a limited amount of time to play the games, we can still generally put in an average of around 20+ hours on everything - that equates to three days solid play, from 9.30am until 6pm - before we even start a review. Considering many games don't offer anywhere near that amount of playtime, that's hardly unreasonable.

PERSONALLY I would give the new Burnouts 8/10 apiece probably, but I can understand how someone might enjoy them enough to give them 9's, or only enjoy them enough to given them 5's or 6's.
DO YOU SEE?!
But hey - thats just me.
They're both good games.
