Mega Collection being playable actually appeals to me. Some strange appeal in playing old Sonic on the 360 o.o

Wonder if that will be in 720p/1080i like the others o.o

I know it's been said before but Microsoft really are gonna give themselves a massive ballache with all this, can you imagine all the peeps who are gonna buy this thing only to find that they can't play their fave game (whatever that may be). I personally think that any console that launches and isn't 100% backwards compatible (Like PS2*) is just missing out. The backward compatibility would sell the damn thing to most people, I know that's the only reason I upgraded to a PS2 so early in it's life span.

How does the adding to it actually work? Do you have to be connected to Live and download an update? Xbox360 service pack?

Just auto-updates everything when you connect to Live.

yes that game should have been on the list

the list posted is from the us xbox website anyway so its not a definate list for us over here

Those who are not part of our Xbox Live network will be able to
download the emulators from Xbox.com, and burn them onto a CD to insert
into your Xbox 360 where it will auto-install the emulator.

While we might not see the logic behind less than stellar games on the initial list, Holmdahl said that every original Xbox game will be upscaled to 720p and 1080i, taking advantage of Xbox 360's anti-aliasing capabilities for a clearer and crisper picture.

MS's decision to emulate XBox games in 720p/1080i is very wise. Whereas the PS2 may have been more straightforward in terms of backward compatiblity, it really only helped in terms of space-saving. The 360 approach is actually interesting, something to buy the machine for.

hold up, burn them onto a cdr and then install on your 360? so it'll read cdrs? alternatively this means the cdr will have some form of code allowing the 360 to read it?

either way, i think there'll be some hacking going on
