Fair points you make, i haven't seen anything that i'd consider buying the PSP for at the moment. I was thinking that WE9 might change that but i've heard nothing about it really.

I suppose it might pick up games wise, it took the PS2 a while before anything worth having come out on it.

BTW can anyone understand Sony's current PSP adverts? They'd probably get more interest if they showed 30 seconds of Ridge or Wipeout.

I think PSP had been amazing machine but I don't think it have many great titles.

WE9 - Good but doesn't suit the PSP
        Wipeout Pure - Nice game
        Ridge Racer - Excellent game
Luminies - fun to play for a long time then can't be bother
Mercury - Didn't like it much (Sold it)
Ape Escape - Nice, but didn't need it (Sold it)
Hot Shot Golf - Lovely golf game
Star Soldiers - very good but need headphone to use it properly.
Virtua Tennis - play fine but tend to be difficult and DC version is better.

Apart from GTA latest games, there is nothing to buy for PSP for me, I also prefer to use my XBOX, GC, PS2 instead. But it can be useful if you go out on lot of travelling. It is not suitable to use on the bus or take on my postman walk as it is too big and bulky.

If I sold PSP tomorrow I wouldn't miss it.

You do a postman walk? Cool. When I'm waiting for my bus in the morning I see our local postman doing his rounds and I have to say I love the idea of it. It seems so peaceful. Pure, if that makes any sense.

Truth be told, Ridge Racers is still the best game on any of the handhelds to date in my opinion. As to if its worth the price of the machine alone, well that depends on how much money you have.

Do you really think Ridge Racers is the best handheld game of all time???

The PSP has been a crushing disappointment for me - promised so much yet delivered so little. Nothing on the release schedule (bar the new Ghouls and Ghosts) looks anything other than mediocre, so I can't see the situation changing anytime soon.

Ridge Rac0rz is still the only game I play on the PSP - apart from that it's just a bulky MP3 player.

I still have a quick bash at Ridge Racers every other day, one year on from launch.
No other handheld game has kept my attention that long, PSP or otherwise.

To be fair, Ridge Racers is pretty damn good, I can't imagine getting bored of it anytime soon.

Anyway, if you don't agree, what do you think is the best handheld game of all time? I'd say the obvious one is Game Boy Tretris.

                          Lumines>Tetris

                          Maybe...

Actually, I can't really decide on that one tbh. It feels wrong to pick one over the other. For me, it's either of them though.

I found RR to be a bit easy really, got slightly monotonous, certainly no where near the best handheld game ever, thats just craziness

Couldnt agree more, since when is another Ridge Racer rehash cause for celebration?

Same thing with Virtua Tennis PSP, "OH MY GOG 9/10, worth the price of a PSP alone!!!!" etc

err 4 year old dreamcast games and tarted up PS1 games just aint getting my underpants moist, sorry

                              purchase justification?

Meh I am sure things will pick up with the PSP. I cant imagine Sony dropping the format any time soon. Games like horiz shooters would be ideally suited to the console.
