Wish I had a decent camera to take some comparison piccy's.

For people like me and you who are a little more anal about this kind of stuff, the VGA cable is a decent investment. For anyone who thinks the Component looks stunning enough (and lets face it, it does), there's no point.

Anyone with the LG, you can center your image manually by going to Menu->Screen->Manual Config.

Make sure you've set the DVI to DTV and not PC.

cant u stretch ur screen image? i run my at 1280x768 cause at 1360x768 i get really bad screen crawl

this leaves me with borders at the sides but i just select "Full" on my tv and it stretches it out. sorted!

also, i think this whole 'washed out' thing is nonsence. ur tv is doing lots of stuff to the image when using component, vga is pretty much clean. just make sure u set the brightness in games to LCD as this will darken it and make everything look more colourful

The LG doesn't actually have a 'full' mode through DVI/VGA.

Good point about the LCD mode in games like Kameo though, I felt it too dark before - bet that's why!

So everyone has the shadows in 720p with their LG 26lx2r's then

Anyone know why it does it?

I've ordered a VGA cable, god only knows when it'll arrive as they seem harder to get than the actual consoles now.

If you're talking about the 'shadows' witnessed on the edge of the blades on the dashboard, then this is a problem through component as a whole, not specific to the LG. ShakeyJake has confirmed it doesn't happen with VGA.

That's what I mean yes, it happens in every game not just PGR3 mind you, all 7 that I have are the same.

Yeah, it depends on what is being displayed. Besides PGR3 I have also had problems with Kameo, PDZ and RR6, it's just not as prominent on these as it is on PGR3 though.

Although I didn't play too much of it, condemned seemed to show none of it, almost definitely due to the nature of the game.

Actually, the shadow on the blades is intentional I think (check out NTSC-uk's Xbox feature):

The text on the other hand is a different matter (just visible in those dashboard jpegs).

Go to the HiDef settings on the dashboard and change to resolution which looks best on your TV/monitor.

I meant to fix this colour and stuff, is it just use a higher res or something?
