Well that cannot be true. Before-hand my console was set at 60htz and then I plug in my VGA cable for about 2 years. Then todays update comes about, and I try to play Feeding Frenzy and it states that this game does not support 50htz. Unplug my VGA cable, plug in the component / composite cable it came with and its back to 50thz. Set it back to PAL60, unplug and plug back in the VGA cable and Feeding Frenzy now works.

I cannot explain what the hell happened, so I can only assume that the update changed it back to PAL50.

We have been through these hoops before, the PAL50/60 setting on component/composite MUST be set first BEFORE you plug in the VGA cable. I think this was found out then DOA was released, as it was the first 60htz only release

Here's an interesting post about getting the black levels right on 360 w/ the new update...

Since our main thread got shut down, I'm starting a new thread to monitor news on the upcoming update for the Xbox 360 add-on player. Link to closed closed thread So far, it looks like the general Dashboard Update is coming this week...

This is funny though - according to that, Standard is the best setting on my Bravia.
Looking at Standard again, I swear it looks better than it used to pre-update.

Standard may be correct on Bravia's (Contrast max, Brightness 38).
