Although some of the faceplates are passable most of them cheapen the look of the 360 for me, am i the only one thinking that microsoft should have made it so you could replace the side panels just as easily aswell?

If i did have to get one though the FEAR one looks best so far in this thread.

Not sure if I posted it before but I picked this one (water puzzle I think) in a bargin for about ?5 in Aki a few months back.

I have to agree with the person that said painted face plates spoil the look of the console.

we got some DIY faceplates in stock at game the other day, just had a quick check round the website for a link but it doesn't appear to be on there, it basically comes as a clear plastic face with software for the computer and faceplate shaped paper so you can create your own designs, print them out, pop it onto the inside of the faceplate, don't know how good it is though, made by a company called Nyko if memory serves

I'm a massive fan of Halo but I'm not so keen on the look of that faceplate.

Maybe it'll look better once it's on a console.

I like it esp compared to the GOW,FEAR,CODII stick on ones that they push.
Its really well made im buying another one to open so I can keep one sealed

                  Really?

What's the build qualty of it like? I always thought the Gears & FEAR one's were well made.

The gears and fear ones are a sticker on a cheap blank semi transparent faceplate the halo one is like the sun/hot rod ones fully printed and there are no gaps where the buttons are

Virgin are giving their own one away free with chart games. That includes Table Tennis, which is also ?29.99 and in the Buy one get one Free, so two games and a faceplate for ?30! The faceplate is like the E3 one, but instead of green swirls they're black and red, and the USB port thing as VIRGIN MEGASTOREZZZ on it or something. Looks nicer than your average.

Sounds good & nothing that a wee bit of tipp-ex (sp?) on the usb flap wouldn't put right

That is because the GoW and FEAR faceplates were not an official product, the Halo faceplate is.

Indeed but they are official for the games and I expected more

pretty sure game are selling 3 faceplates for ?10 so if you fancy giving a custom paintjob a go, now's the time. i keep saying this, but i'll eventually get around to taking suggestions, painting them up and giving them away.
