DS Lite - First look!

I know it looks like a quiet period after the flood of releases in Q4, but there's actually quite a bit of good stuff out there. My DS is getting used as much as ever, which is a lot...

Have you tried Monkeyball, Resident Evil, Princess Peach, and Rub Rabbits? All have been keeping me amused. And up soon - Metroid Prime, Tetris, and of course New Super Mario Bros. Plus I'm still playing Animal Crossing and Mario & Luigi 2.

Looking forward to seeing what Nintendo announce at E3. There's bound to be a load for DS. (not to mention Revolution)

Hope I'm able to get a Lite before Metroid Prime comes out. I want to see that at it's best.

I hope your not expecting wonders from it. Looks very poor IMO.

Agreed about the rest though. I've got LOADS of DS games from last year, and except for Princess PEach, I haven't bought anything this year. I can still count about 6 AAA titles I haven't bought yet.

Interesting to see what Nintendo have up their sleeves for E3. Not particularly bothered about the titles you mentioned with the exception of New Super Mario Bros, however, am looking forward to Brain Training DS at the end of April though.

I'm expecting HUGE things from it. I think it looks fantastic but hey, you're entitled to your opinion.

Maybe we've been looking at different trailers, the stuff I've seen from Metroid Prime looks outstanding. The detail in some of the environments is near Gamecube level, and I know from First Hunt how great the controls are.

At that value they should upgrade you to UPS at no extra cost if you choose free standard shipping(Like what they do with PSPs). So you'll get it on Thursday/Friday most probably. Also, if you get charged customs, they'll reimburse you for it.

I've gone off the Enamel Navy after seeing shots of it, when it was initially announced I thought it was great but I'm not feeling it anymore, I'll be getting a white one

Thats really nice. I don't think its as drop dead gorgeous a gadget as the PSP but far more practical (being of clamshell design) and home to the better games (imo of course).

In todays age of dealing with online suppliers directly, I can't see why anyone would pay MORE then the retail value for anything.

I'll be getting one when its released in the US and at retail value, thank you very much.

It really does look lovely in navy. Does anyone know anything about the sound quality? The space for the speakers seems considerably thinner and I'm just wondering if it affects quality? I'm hoping for better, not worse (I actually think there might be something wrong with my DS speakers - they go crackley at low volumes).
