Anyone been able to get anything out of Play-Asia at all yet? I'd happily pay over the odds for one now, but because I paid via PayPal I can't go elsewhere easily as P-A already have my money. I just want a DS now, all the good games are out this week in US, I'm going to the US, but no DS to actually play them on! Grumble

I get the feeling PA dont want to pay the distributors stupid amounts. I dont have an issue really, my old DS is fine. But i'd understand if you haven't got one.

Anyone know if the wireless thing inside the lite can reach longer than the normal DS? The old DS's range is quite weak, i'm hoping they've improved that..

The most frustrating thing of all is the lack of communication from Play-Asia. I e-mailed them a week or so ago for an update and just got pointed to the original message we received on March 2nd. I appreciate that the situation is volatile over there, but surely they must have some concept of when they're likely to have ANY DS Lites and how many they need to source to satisfy their preorders.

As it stands, a three week wall of silence is pretty aggravating indeed.

I would demand my money back and go elsewhere, they have no right to hang onto your money mate.I have had several problems with Play Asia doing this to me and I have always got my money back after a very strong email.They done it to me with both the PSP and Xbox 360, conning bastards trying to overprice over their HK rivals and then say I had to go with them, I think not!!I would get my money back off them and pay ove the odds somewhere else just on the principal off their poor customer service mate.

Could take around a month to reach RRP I think. Until Japan has enough stock, the small supply there is can be bought and resold on Yahoo or elsewhere. Yahoo prices seem to be dropping a little from last week though so maybe that's a sign.

The only one I've seen, I've bought and I was extremely lucky and had to pay more than RRP. Don't know about Tokyo but everywhere in Den Den, Osaka is out and has been for the past two weeks. Every time you ask, nobody knows. Everywhere I've been in Kansai has 'Sold Out' notices out front. The only way to guarantee getting one is to queue from the early hours or be lucky. Or pay import prices.

Ask yourself why homeless people are queueing up all night for a ticket to buy one the next day... somebody is paying them to do it.

And if you want an old DS, the UK is the place. There are absolutely no DSs, Lite or old style, in shops here.

I got mine from this guy. Rather expensive, but I didn't get hit for customs and it arrived really quickly.

Anyone with a Lite seen any good cases for them yet? The one I currently have is a temporary thing I only bought because it had DS / DS Lite on the packing. It's the cheapy spongey polyester kind with extra pockets for carts but the Lite is held in by two elastic straps and it's not exactly flush. Ideally looking for a hardshell case.

is there still no announcement of a us/uk release date? I'm desperate for one to play tetris and metroid hunters on as although i have a ds the d-pad and buttons irritate me slightly. plus im just a consumer whore
