I love the whole Half Life Series, both single and multiplayer.
On one hand it can scare the crap out of you in single player. And on the other hand you can be in fits of laughter as you take someone out with a bathroom sink and the grav gun.

Ah, forgot about Crash Bandicoot as well. The last ones are supposedly quite ... ****, but the first three were ace, and Crash Team Racing is still the best kart racer ever. Yes, better than Mario Kart.

Originally being a Zelda fanboy I got bored with all that same-old same-old and jumped to Metroid in the year 2000, gotta say I prefer the science and tech. of the Metroid universe. The logs on the Prime games go proper in-depth man!

I remember skimming through a few, they are pretty encyclopaedic. [sp] They go into such depths as weaknesses, mating rituals, diet. I loved the lore that was written on walls, some of the stories of the second coming of Samus were pretty good actually.

Read them? Only around 3 times in each of my 100% runs mate.

They make Arthur C. Clarke sound like a nursery story-teller.

Whoever wrote them deserves a Nobel Peace Prize.

...Nobel prize? Not quite, but the bits about them being afraid of "the hunter" were quite cool.

I adore Metroid and eagerly await each new installment. Love the alien atmospheare and the weird electronica. I?d like the Prime games to include more story elements though... Many like the barren narrative, but I thought the detailed plot of Fuzion was kinda nice and all.

Sonic... Even though I haven't bought a new game since Sonic Adventure 2. He's giving me a hard time, my favourite hedgehog. Could someone please send him a Lakitu-cam?

Tenchu... These games are sooooo average. I mean, there's nothing in this game that MGS or Splinter Cell doesn't do better. But damn if being a night-stalking, roof-jumping Ninja aint cool. Great tunes as well!

Nothing comes close to a new Zelda though. Booting up a new adventure for the first time is a near religious experience for me. The music and sound-effects kick in and nostalgy sweeps over me. Twilight Princess is going to be the one!
