There's no Catan demo btw as there is apparently a problem.

Centipede/Millipede is total rubbish though, as I expected. Cheekily they have also mapped 'buy full game' to the 'A' button once the incredibly short demo ends.

If there isn't what have I been playing?!! Quite enjoyed the demo, didn't realise it was a card based game.

The demo was pulled apparently, so you must have grabbed it before they discovered the bugs.

Christ that milipede thing is utter ****e. It looks like some lame shareware homebrew thing created by a lame shareware homebrew "generate a game" toolkit. **** off Atari.

Edit: and dont even get me started on those 950 point videos on the marketplace.

Edit2: AND AND AND they cant even be arsed to make a gamercard picture for milipede. Just comes up with a ? in a box. Nice.

Apparently you can unlock achievements with the (now pulled) demo

Centipede is ace. I appreciate that if you never played it back when it first came out then it may not hold much appeal, but as the first video game I ever owned it holds fond memories for me. I devoted loads of time as a nipper to bettering my high score on it, and I found myself doing the same when I got it last night.

I bought Centipede last night also and prefer the original versions of the games to the enhanced ones (they seem easier as well). Good conversions, spot on difficulty so all good

Well worth the 400 points for the two games (I'm yet to put much time into Millipede)

Can't comment on Catan cos there's no demo but I found Centipede/Milipede to be absolute rubbish, there's now way I'd ever pay a pound for em both!!

I've always been intrigued by Catan so I bought it without needing the demo. I'd previously tried various free versions online but they were never really well documented or easy to get into. There's a learn as you play option which was very handy so it was easy to get up to speed on the rules. The only real issue I've had has been connectivity, I spent a long time last night trying to get into online games as the browser isn't really that good, and even the quick play isn't very quick (at some points I was waiting about 5 minutes before it would join a game, and then disconnect me). It's amazing that live has been around for years now and devs still can't get online basics right, especially with something like a board game. I'm going to try a ranked match tonight to see if that's any better, hopefully joining a ranked game will be simpler like Uno. Overall I do like it though, it reminds me a lot of Uno because it's quite laid back to play, but there's a lot of depth to it also.

Gonna get points after work - seriously considering that Catan think it'll be a nice wee addition as I'm not planning on buying anything now till Forza2 (Halo3 )

Bad news! Well not end of the world style but....

Hopefully it'll just affect the tv shows and movies.

Xbox 360 Marketplace Territory Controls Strengthened

Some Xbox LIVE members may experience some changes when downloading Marketplace content, as we strengthen the territory controls on the service with the Spring Update coming next week.

As you may have noticed over the past few months, Xbox LIVE Marketplace has seen tremendous growth with tons of additional gaming and entertainment content, as well as a number of new partners. We are committed to providing great content to all of our users, however not all content is available for use in all countries. For example, as indicated in our Terms of Use, the movies and TV shows available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace are currently available only for use in the United States.

Some of our contracts and agreements with content partners, particularly in the area of entertainment, restrict in which countries we may make certain content available. There are a number of reasons for these restrictions, including legal rights and regulations. In addition, various countries such as Germany have regulations when it comes to what content is acceptable for distribution to their residents. As a digital distributor of content, we are responsible and accountable to comply with those government regulations and the licensing agreements we have with our partners. As a general policy we try to get global rights to content, but in some cases, it's not possible because of legal restrictions. In other instances, we have to get legal rights on a country-by-country basis, which unfortunately results with us having content on the service that has to be filtered based on geographical location.

So what does this mean to you? Well, if you have an account that matches the country where you are located, then you will probably notice little to no difference. However, if you have set up an account that does not match the country where you are located, you will find that these new security measures will only allow you to purchase and download content that is licensed in the country where you are located.

For example, if you are not located in the US, but have created a US Xbox LIVE account, you will not be able to download TV shows and movies that are currently available for use only in the US.

Again, for most people this will not be an issue, but we have heard that there are a few folks out there who have tried to access restricted content this way. We understand that this may be frustrating for some users, and hope they understand our responsibility, and the necessary security requirements that need to be in place in order to comply with applicable laws and honor our agreements with content providers.

If you're located in the US, and you're having any issue downloading content after applying the Spring Update, call 1-800-4MY-XBOX.
                              and some good news:

In an exclusive interview with 360Zine issue 5, Robin Burrowes, the UK's Xbox Live Product Manager, reveals he's on a personal mission to bring the video marketplace to Europe this year. "We hope to have some content that hits in 2007," he said. The interview goes into more depth and also deals with the Spring Update. As well as the printed interview, the full 30 minute audio interview can be heard from on the interview pages in the digital magazine.

Looks like those of us who just want the odd gamerpic or demo will be clamped down on too, not just the video marketplace.
