E4 is frickin brilliant. Never played it before. Just had a 59 minute run on it and now sit number 1 in the leaderbaord (probably not by the time you've read this). Great stuff.

On Speedball front, I personally found it to be old hat.

Speedball 2 is ****e - feels really slow and lacks control

E4 - greatness ... 5 minute time attack is absolutely superb (got upto 11th in the rankings - that was an hour ago so has probably changed now)

Has anyone tried the "use you own music" mode on E4? Does it work well? It's one of the things drawing me to this.

I also found Speedball to be pretty poor. It's controls feel very sluggish and ever so slow.

E4 though is the nuts. Wow, never played it before but wow. It's quite something isnt it.

I too just need to know if the "use you own music" mode on E4 is actually any cop. If it is i can see myself getting this. The demo is too short and has left me wanting more. ^_^

E4 is awesome thats for sure, however im also enjoying speedball as well. Its a little sluggish but then it always was.

think i posted pages back that speedball is like an old girlfriend you have fond memories of but shouldn't meet back up with as it'll ruin them.

seems to be the early opinion.

Just been tinkering around with the using my own music in E4. Works a treat.

For best results you must let E4's cool capturing tool capture sync data from the music you plan to use (via the dash music player). Once captured, it's best to tweak it by determining the beat per minute. You can have E4 do this automatically or tap in the beat yourself. I recommend the latter as I used music that I've produced myself and know the bpm of and it got it a bit wrong. Getting it a bit wrong can be a bit poo after playing through a while as you'll hear it going slowly go out of sync.
However, you can play test and tweak the bpm or listen and tweak the bpm till you're happy.

Once done, the data will be saved to a playlist in E4. To play to your desired track, you start a S4 game (play to your own music option), then you start the track in the dash, then E4 will use the sync data you captured earlier for it.

It works really well and it was excllent playing to my own muzak.
