No mention of these? Inferno Pool and Rainbow Islands this week for 800pts each.

RI used to be one of my favourite games, but this looks like some cheap shareware rip off. Looks like it has Avatar support too. Great then.

All 3 CoD:WaW map packs are half price this week at 400 points each.

That'd have made a far better Deal of the Week for MS to publicise than half price Fable Pointless Games.

Considering that very few people will be playing W@W online for much longer, I'd say the improvement is slight at best!

If you and some friends have the game but don't have the maps, definitely pick them up then treat yourselves to some nights in with Nazi Zombies!

It will still get played, I'm pretty sure of that. Modern Warfare still has a good crowd on during the life of WAW, so I think the same will be true of WAW during MW2's life.

I'm not sure about that logic - CoD4's online still appeals to those who aren't fans of W@W's - the CoD4 community will likely shift to MW2.

While I've no doubt W@W would continue to be played online, the numbers will be that much lessened by MW2 I would wager.

I must say that I am one of those people who whored COD4's multiplayer, skipped WAW and will be returning for MW2.

Infinity Ward are just much more talented as a team with the franchise even if Treyarch are forced to do what Activision tells them to do all the time.

There will always be those that want to play in a modern setting instead of WWII and vice versa. I know numbers will be less when MW2 comes along, but so were cod4's when WAW came along.

WPA2 support for the wireless adapter apparently. Odd time to release it but there you go.

Generally these type of updates are security holes being plugged (which explains why they tend to come at odd times).

WPA2 is long long overdue, but it could have waited for the impending dash update. In this instance, its probably serving as decoy.

Here are some classic security patches hiding as other innocuous updates -

Big button controllers? Wireless guitars? WPA2??? Crucial stuff!

You can see that they (major nelson) try and spice it up a bit just to keep it look as innocent as possible, but anyone who runs a Windows OS will know that security patches are a fact of life. The 360 runs an MS OS, so its not watertight. You just don't tend to hear about it when they do fix it.

You're even more cynical than I am! But you're probably right too...

About time they put WPA2 support in, it should have been there from the start really.

Probably got more than a little bit to do with the fact they're releasing that new N speed wireless adapter soon.

I must admit, the update took a lot longer than I'd have thought for adding support to something. It took longer than updating to the preview dash!
