"Alternative controllers Zapgun & Classic Controller available"
What's the zapgun all about? I haven't seen it, have I missed something?

If it's horsepower then you'll be correct that it's a gc+. If you look at what they're offering in terms of new gameplay mechanics and all this crazy photo editing stuff etc... Out of the box then it's just as superior upgrade as the 360 or ps3.

At any rate, when you account for VAT it is only ?20 more expensive than the US, pretty reasonable imo.

Anyway, ?180 is about what I thought it would cost (I predicted ?175). I agree about the N64 pricing, but to be honest I can't see what the fuss about the virtual console games is. XBLA is great because of the leaderboards and/or multiplayer. Would Geometry Wars be so well loved if there weren?t a leaderboard with all your Friends on? I for one would have played it a lot less.
I?m getting a Wii at launch (probably a PAL one, because it will be cheaper to get hold of, and if games are region free then why import?), but I?m getting it for the Wii games ?not for old games that I could play on my old consoles.
EDIT So the "region free" talk at the US conference was a lie. I hope legions of teenages are right now making "humorous" youtube videos of the US conference taking the piss.Last edited by Soi; 15-09-2006, 16:24.
