?39 is Xbox 360 prices....surely you can find better things to pray about?
Not exactly, just in linking games of a different language. This is not because of 'protection', but purely technical differences.

You'd have to say for Europe, MS has a had a pretty good month at the expense of Sony and Nintendo here.
I'm disappointed about there being no component cable included but I was going to buy an RGB cable regardless for my CRT. Has it been confirmed the Wii handles RGB Scart output? It seems a bit of a silly question to ask, but numerous iterations of the N64 couldn't without a mod.

Garny - The report on the other page doesn't say. I doubt we'll get thrown in anything more than the US version.
Thinking about this a little more... if Microsoft lower the price of the core 360 to ?180 (which is a possibility I'm sure they will be thinking about) and average Joe sees Gears of War on a hi-def screen against something like Wii Sports... the average Joe that would have been ordinarily buying a PS3... I think I know what they'll probably go for - the Wii controller isn't something which can be demonstrated in five seconds like a few spangly graphics can.
At ?180 the Wii is never going to penetrate the so-called non-gaming crowd Nintendo are focused on as an impulse purchase, which means they're back to chasing ordinary gamers again until a price cut to help the launch be a success. But if that's the case, then it means they'll most likely be chasing after the same gamers Microsoft is in the current PS3 vacuum, and gamers that may not be immediately interested in what the Wii is offering as opposed to the fish and chips of what they're used to with the PlayStation brand.
I guess my point is that the price of the Wii is too near the Core system and due to launching in December, it's very easy that with a lowered Core unit price in November, would-be gamers will be already hoovered up.
