Yep, they were either modded component or d-terminal cables,
so only 480p games were useable.

You pirating bastard. A lesser man would be requesting a ban

Ages ago they did mention the possibility of tranfsering your downloads to a PC. Not sure if its been confirmed that you can but seeing as you can put them onto an SD card I dont see why not

huh, so just go out buying a mega SD card, format it in some way (prolly with soft on the PC also), put some roms on it and you're set?
        lol
Anyone find the cord from the nunchucks to mote real crappy??

Not going to happen. Wiimote uses Bluetooth to transfer data wirelessly, and Bluetooth receiver can receive information only from seven devices. If they would make nunchuk wireless, you would have eight invidual bluetooth devices in a four player game. That's also why PS3 supports seven, but not eight controllers.

Surely all the worries over the online regions is a bit irrelevant - its not like they can stop you connecting to the internet outside of the US. The worst case scenario I can see is that you might not be able to switch the weather channel to the correct location, or certain games might not be compatible with the European versions.

Exactly. What if you move country and have to take your console with you? At the very least I'd expect it changing over for a domestic console if the online access is territorial.

Thanks, Geezer. I wonder if there are any online vouchers floating about to make it cheaper.

But since this operation is under military jurisdiction and Hicks is next in chain of command, I'll probably get mine from VG+...

But if a 3rd party controller is released then why won't they just connect the nunchucks via RF to the remote? I don't see Ninty re-release any additional hardware though...

                        Problem solved??

Indeed, I have one and it looks the same as Component.

This is because it's rendered internally as YCbCr anyway (the digital version of Component, basically), The DAC in the cable is supposed to convert it to YPbPr (Component), but can be modded to output it to VGA or RGB Scart... but the source is still YCbCr.

If Nintendo do the same this time around we'll be looking at expensive cables again right?

I don't care, 1st party cables are well worth it. Unless you're talking Xbox1.
