    Uli, lighten up, seriously man.

I am fully aware that's not the real reason. But their censorship laws anjnoy me so much that I chose to make a grossly absurd, inflammatory and some might even say offensive statement. After doing so my annoyance was lessened, and I honest to god didn't expect anyone to take that at face value.

I'm 26 and I like to think fairly well educated - tendency to make inflammatory statements on the internet notwithstanding.

no offense taken. and i have nothing against inflammatory statements as i like to make them myself. but i tend to get mad when i smell stupidity and ignorance

so if you think you are smart then make up your mind and take into account this war is long over. actually it's over for 65 years already and most people taking part in this war don't live any more.

and, seriously, why should German people feel this way? Germany had the most deadly and effective army of the 20th century which could only be beaten by combined strength of nearly every other military force at that time. from a pure military point of view losing this war was just a matter of time but it's nothing any German must be ashamed of.

and in respect to how the German rating association USK treats violence in games, just 2 facts some might not know: Resident Evil 4 & 5 were released completely uncut, except Mercenary mode in RE4. also Call of Duty 4, 5 & 6 all uncut except from censorship of minigame in CoD4 and Swastikas in CoD5. all in all, the USK ratings are mostly reasonable. i think Australia and Japan are much more strict in respect to game censorship and banning nowadays.

so let's get over with this and back to the games.

Point taken! I've only just noticed now your location - I apologise for any potential offence I caused, and I'd agree with what you said. Actually one of my great-grandfathers was German. Any gripe I may have would be towards governmental bodies, in all countries, that feel the need to take control from adults and censor entertainment media.

Australia is indeed worse since, based on what I've read they don't have anything above a 15 rating which leads to all kinds of ratings problems.

yep, banning and it's incomprehensible rules is the worst thing today, most of all since some publishers tend to not release games potentially endangered of banning at all in countries like Germany. forcing adult gamers to import them, risking customs fee and even confiscation while at the same time TV news broadcast pictures of war and violence at prime time and sick people download child pornography conveniently from the internet.

however, Heavy Rain is supposed to be uncut everywhere. so even in the U.S. you should get at least some tits with nipples and a more less than explicit sex scene

Given it's not the most replayable of games once you've seen everything, they're really dragging their heels with the other three DLC packs

is the first one out to purchase yet? I sold mine but I think I may re-buy when they are all available to play through them

Hilarious video. Is the tune based on a real song? Because it's pretty catchy.

Indeed, I personally don't think we're ever going to see any DLC now.

I'm still waiting for it to drop in price, why don't the games I want cheap, fall in price when the ones I buy always do after I've brought them new.

Well this has somewhat annoyed me, looks like I will be getting shot of Heavy Rain then.
                            Headline is...

Heavy Rain DLC on Indefinite Hold.
With only one episode released in the Heavy Rain Chronicles, it looks like we may not be getting any more.

"According to de Fondaumi?re, Sony encouraged Quantic Dream to focus its efforts on the Move version of Heavy Rain instead of the DLC."

"While the DLC could potentially continue once Move has launched, de Fondaumi?re indicated that it is more likely that the studio will go forward with its next project -- which he, of course, wouldn't say a word about."

Move compatibility or new story content? I know what I would rather have.
Disappointing if they do drop it and 'Move' (groan) onto the next game.

The opportunity to play as the Origami Killer is dropped in favour of the opportunity to wave a flipping wand around to shake your juice?

I can only hope the originally planned DLC was turning out to be a bit crap and so Sony chose Move over releasing it.

Interesting use of the word 'encouraged', which doesn't give any hints as to what went on behind the scenes. For all we know, Quantic may have been getting bored with the DLC...

Is the idea of the "DLC" simply to stop people trading the game?
