....forget the DC and the PS2 versions, weren't a patch on the N64 version in my opinion.Lost SO many hours to that game,i think it deserves to get a mention cult or non cult.

wasn't the DC version the same as the N64 version then? I know the PS2 version was a sequel.

yeah as 'plus' it is pretty much the same game, while i still loved the DC version.

I prefered the N64 version only over slight niggles. In the DC version when the blocks fell they casted a shadow for where they land, instead of the blocks moving static to the cursor. It does sound very minor, but in the higher levels where it can be quite unforgiving at times,it just got annoying. The N64 pad made the control so tight.

I just thought the N64 game was more focused on technique than pure luck, the leaving curve was still tough mind.Anyone with a N64 should get a copy!

And putting scores into N64 magazine was also a plus

Just thought I'd bump this most useful and informative thread because I was shifting around some furniture in my bedroom this evening and discovered a drawer in which I'd dumped loads of old PS2 games a few years back - Virtua Tennis 2, Summoner 2 and the like - and dug out my copy of Road Trip Adventure(!)

What a great game! Been playing it solidly for the last hour. It's like a cross between an RPG and a racing game, and all the 'characters' are super-deformed cars. The ChoroQ/Penny Racers games are fantastic fun on the PS2 and it feels like a ray of light to play one again.

Just a few of my faves:

                Oneechan
                Chikyuu Boueigun
                Zombie vs Ambulance

I can't believe no one had mentions the CB games, surely the biggest cult/underground hit of the last gen?

                    Front Mission
                    Rogue Galaxy
Lunar (completely underrated in the West)
Legend of Dragoon (might have had some generic parts, but I loved the story!)

                      Thus speaks a sage.

How beautiful & overlooked is this??! One of the most lovely-looking DC games ever, and the neon atmosphere that gives it its soul has barely been matched by any other game. Pity the XB one seems filtered/muted, cos it's great otherwise.

NEEDS, ABSOLUTELY NEEDS to be on XBLA with online play and stunt mode.
Would be fantastic, please make it so midway rather than mortal kombat and the other pish.

Shufflepuck Cafe( Amiga ) .... A fantastic experience, especially the way it uses the mouse to make you feel like you're really playing with force.

Hybris( Amiga ) ... A nice shooter, with a fantastic soundtrack. It wasn't produced by a big name dev/publisher, so I think it went unnoticed by most gamers.

Plok( SNES) ... A truely wonderful game. The visuals, music, gameplay, characters, are all AAA. The imagination and atmosphere is awe-inspiring.

                          Bishi Bashi Special( PS1)
... A funny playable minigame fest. Most non-hardcore gamers don't seem to know it.

Heavy Metal Geomatrix( Dreamcast ) ... A nice looking game, with decent arcade style gameplay. Came out when the DC was nearly dead.

Canon Spike( Dreamcast ) ... Overlooked by many, but I think it's one of the Dreamcasts better games. A good looking, fun, action shooter.

Mashed( Xbox/PS2/PC ) ... A really playable top-down racer, with good graphics and a strong multiplayer mode.

Hell yes, this game is awesome, although you could blame this game for Rayman...........Plok is much better mind.
