For these reasons, I still think that leaving bad feedback for playing the game how the game's designers intended is a bit mean.
As much as I despise cheap-win addicts, I have to agree.
I leave bad feedback for quitters and cheaters, but this isn't cheating.

its not the fact they are winning or even seen as cheating...... its just so boring playing some little twerp who just found the light punch button.

Just smashed a spamming honda. That felt SOOOOO good. Clever play etc etc but I am still not that good I'm afraid... Keep ranking for a while before entering a tourney here. Don't want to have to but am only any good with ken

In ranked matches, I ALWAYS wait for the opponent to choose first - I can double-perfect honda spammers with Ryu, but my normal character is always Guile.

              Conclusion.

I can't be arsed to donate the time it took last time around, in order to play a 1990's 2D fighter. Too much new stuff to enjoy! (And blow up in 3CPU/megaGPU goodness)

I'll buy it for "Party Games" when the lads come round, but I won't spend much more time than that. It all just seems so dated....

Still, the game was fun before, so I'm sure it will be fun again. Just not my cup of tea anymore.
I agree, a lot of what you say I'm finding myself. I must've played for about an hour yesterday and ended up sticking Senko no Ronde back on!

I have no doubt in my mind i'll stop playing this when Senko arrives.

True. I hammered SF last night and had fun along with frustrations of the majority of my matches being a bit laggy (probably due to playing U.S player later a night). Even with it lagging a bit my timing goes out the window. Fights with SilvergunX were sweet tho.

It'll be a game you revisit occasionally for fun... of course I'm gonna play the majority of my 360 games over this, but this was worth my 6 or 7 quid.

1 - ****ty lag. I had a few slightly laggy games with Jassi and then when we tried hooking up with Phil it was a case of computer says no. Even at the best of times there was a 1/4 second lag, blatant on the character select screen.

2 - Washed out, upscaled sprites. Fair enough, we were never going to see the original retro 320x240 resolution but there is something really wrong with these sprites... they look smudged up to **** and I can confirm the original never looked as bad as this. We played arcade SFII'CE a couple of weeks ago and it was fine.

3 - The 360 pad. I've had no problems with the 360 pad and can play just as well as when on a stick... I just have problems doing dragon punches facing left. Got a DoA stick on the way but that's getting sold without even leaving the box.

4 - Ranked matches. If I'm lucky enough to get one working the lag is so bloody bad it can't take my move inputs. I went 3/3 wins and then when I lost my 4th match through extreme lag (I would have kicked his ass all over normally) I felt like smashing my flat up.

                    I'm not very happy.

                    Microsoft.
                    Capcom.
                    10mb internet.
                    13yr old game.
                    9months dev.....

                    And we're left with this?

Mate, when I come to selling all my gear I'm going to be absolutely gutted when it comes to splitting up my Neo collection. Playing this **** has made me realise why I was such an SNK fanboy back in the 90's..... Anyone who reckons SFII (prior to Super) compares to FFS and SS2 deserves a twatting.

It looks much better than my PS2 Anniversary Edition does.

You're right though. Seems Capcom should of held this back until the netplay was spot on, seems the majority of games are laggy. For the die-hard fan... if it is a tad slower than what he/she are used to in Arcade/console, then it is extremely frustrating.

I am still yet to have a laggy game, well other than one game in that quater mode but never a ranked game and I've had quite a few now.

That's because that is also a washed out, upscaled piece of ****.

You can't beat the original PCB running in 320x240. Upscaling is the work of the devil.

To be honest, I ain't complaining about the game in that department, as I find it doenst affect my play. I ain't that picky.

Neither am I mate. I'm just using that issue to explain to the others on here why it looks so bad.

My hate is with the lag. I can live with everything else.

LOL - People complaining arcade mode is too hard? WTF? even on 7-stars this is much easier than any SF before it. You want to try playing SSFIIX on Dreamcast set to 8-stars. It'll make you cry.
