Metal Arms - Glitch in the System (PAL) works fine and even has lesser tearing. 4:3 screen though, since the games had no 16:9 support.

a great and much underrated game by the way!

Rallisport Challenge has a really dodgy framerate when played through VGA, haven't tried through component though.

Scrapland works VIA vga, but is in in 4:3 using the 16:9 assets so it all looks very odd.

                  Some more VGA compatible titles

Here are some more games I tested for you to add:

                  Working
                  --------
Start Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - 4:3
                  Rocky Legends - 16:9

                  Not Working
                  ------------
Halo (you might know this already but it's not on your list)

I use a 4:3 lcd monitor in 1280x1024 for my Xbox 360, and Rocky Legends above is stretched vertically so I have made the 16:9 assumption.

Also as a suggestion maybe we could re-order the list into 4:3 and 16:9 sections - not all of us have widescreen unfortunately and it helps to know what bargain bucket games to avoid for now.

Excellent idea starting this list btw I was looking for one for a while.

Dreamfall works. However, it seems to think it's connected to a 16/9 display, so I have a vertically stretched image and no black borders on my 4/3 LCD. (unless that's something you can set up yourself, in which case I'd like to know how)

I think the problems I mentioned I due to poor BC testing to be honest.
Even Halo 2 has some problems differentiating between 16:9 and 4:3
