Who's getting a PS3 before Christmas?

I am still deeply pissed off with Sony for their treatment of PSP importers.

At the time I said, "**** You Sony" I won't buy PS3 out of principle.

I now think the dust has settled, and if there are some really great games I'll probably buy one. (The Blue Ray drive will make a purchase justified in some ways)

What I won't do it buy one at top price, and I certainly doubt I will buy PAL, that's for damn sure.

The 360 is about to have it's second wave of great games, so plenty to be doing.

Then we have CPs1 and CPs2 emulation on the PSP, which is taking a chunk of my time!!

In what sense? That people are still enthusiastic about a video games console launch? Or that it's good that people are supporting Sony. I think I'm least excited about PS3 launch than any of the others. I just feel I have my next gen visuals and live gameplay taken care of by the 360, and I'll have a wii for my "Inventive" gameplay kicks and retro love.

It's all about the games isn't it? So show me the games at launch that are unique to PS3 and tickle my fancy, and then I might part with my hard earned krone.

As it stands, 360 and Wii look like the winners in my house.

Still be fun to see the PS3 though.

In both senses. I'm not getting a PS3 and I'm no lover of Sony, but I don't want the PS3 to bomb either and I'd certainly be interested to hear other people's impressions of the console on this board.

I'll be getting one on launch together with a bunch of 360 and Wii games!
A lot of people are worried about the lack of killer apps, but I'm sure these same people will change their tune come launch day! Mark my words!!

I think 2007 is going to be an interesting year for both the PS3 and the 360 (and the Wii too). It's where you'll see exclusives like MGS 4 and Devil May Cry 4 on the PS3, plus this is the year all the big boys are coming out on the 360 with Halo 3, Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Bioshock, Metronome and Vampires Rain to name a few.

Ahh, I may have not been clear. For me I feel like I have "Enough to be getting on with" on 360 & wii and that there weren't any games just yet on PS3 that would make we want one a launch.

I tried to say "It's all about the games" so I meant that when the right PS3 game comes along that screams "Buy me" then I will. I, like most here, don't care who makes the boxes, just as long as the games are fun!

Doesn't make sense to me. I'd rather play great games, and not care which box it's on.

We will see, I bought a PSX and PS2 on launch, so it may be hard to avoid.

When the saturn and psone were launched i always thought "you could not do games like this on a 16bit console"

However with the ps2 i did not really get that feeling "you could not do this on a psone" until the later games arrived

Even if you could not do the graphics on a previous gen console you could get the gameplay and the feel
