Funny a lot of people here don't play RPG's, as they're really all I play nowerdays. A nice RPG with decent characterisation really gets me going, whereas I get bored of the games I used to play as a teen pretty fast these days.

Though I do still love a good arcade game.

PC FPS's invariably bore me, even though they're not bad games as such.

I cant say that i hate a whole genre as theres usually at least 1 game in there that i like.

For example i dont like RTS games, but i like pikmin which in essence is a RTS game. Theres quite a few examples like that. I dont really like FPS but i like metroid prime.

If i narrow it down to mini genres though i ****ing hate football games, so boring to watch. So boring to play. Even having mario put in there like they did with mario tennis & golf, dosent even work as its still foootball no matter how much of the mario universe you add.

Don't play FPS as they give me motion sickness.

Don't play Beat-em-ups, except for SF2, as they frustrate me!

Anything else, I'll give a go!

          All JRPG's.

I've tried them countless times and they not only bore me but seem outdated game's. Why include such a crippled and old way of moving, fighting and interacting?

Po faced driving sims, flight sims, mecha games, and most FPS.

Flight sims, RTS games, stat-intensive strategy games, squad-based army games, American Football/Basketball games. Oh, and Formula 1 games - god, I hate them.

RPG's - for some reason i just cant get on with them, random battle's, leveling up, it just gets too repetative for me, unless it has a real great story that is evident right at the begining of the game. Kotor 1 is the only game that starts up on fire, its not overly complicated and it has a great little story, that seems true to the star wars enviornment, and the whole choose your fate was pretty ace as well.

however 2 was 2 overcomplicated and was pretty gash !

Beat-em-ups, I have VF4 and appreciate its brilliance but I'm just not interested in one-on-one fighters. SOR and stuff like Urban Reign are preferrable.

Flight Sims, just a bit tedious and too many controls.

                      FPS.
i just cant do them at all.
i've tried to get into them on numerous occaisions when everybodys going on about a certain title, but i always hate them. i still have a few in my collection, which i beleive are suposedly pretty good, (rainbow six 3, timesplitters2, halo 1 & 2) but i dont get on with any of them.

I don't click with 3D fighters. Not sure why, it's timing thing I reckon, fast moving camera action and the like. I lack the time to put into them, don't have the versus partners to get good so I don't bother

Not too keen on many sports games either. I'm more likely to go out and get involved rather than sit in my armchair playing them.

                        Wow, negative topic though. Heh.

Fps games i like but its just getting so stale now

half life 2 i just found as Another fps

Also they just do not seem to get the actual shooting as good as i would want (except in halo where there enemys really react)

Kind of wish another deus ex style game would come out

The only games I really don't get on with are Wresting games. I wouldn't rule out sport games as a genre though, because I like Tiger Woods ( 05 in particular, wasn't keen on 06 and the change to the spin and power shot stuff ). Don't really get on with the Madden ( or American Football in general ), but that's more because I don't have a clue what's going on.

RPGs and Sandbox games (GTA, Dead Rising, etc) bore the pants off me. I don't mind lite-RPGs like Zelda of course, but that's where I draw the line!

All games and genres are worth looking at - I can't see the point in cutting yourself off from certain games just because you don't 'do the genre' .... there is a 100% chance that you will eventually miss out on a gem of a game by doing this.
