I am not usually into war games either (didn't like Call of Duty 2) but recent videos of CoD 3 and Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway both look impressive.

Most fps war games i find are just to generic and linear

Sport games with a strong simulative approach, but even with toonish graphics and gameplay twists I avoid them. FPS, beat'em ups and the so-called MMORPGs (which are basically a race to the highlest level possible) are something that I play only with friends and forced to.

RPG's for me. I know there's a few good one's out there, the last one I finished was FF9. I just don't have the time to devote to them. And now if I DID have the time, I rather be doing something else. Too much hard work.

I think ive said this many a times before, but what the hell, Genres i jus dont do.........

1st person perspective games, uhhhh jus makes me sick, literally! My head goes dizzy and the room kinda spins, i feel really unwell and need to lie down and close my eyes. This really pisses me off cos there are so many great games out there that desrve my attention but alas i cant stomach it. Now ive noticed this happens on not jus 1st person ones but on others that have a swinging camera. Uhhh so unfair!

Snooker/pool games, i jus dont get them, cos its jus so much more satisfying playing it on the real thing.

Casino/card based gambling games, its so blatantly obvious the computer cheats like hell! This also leads me to online betting places, i mean you will never know if the system is srewing you, do you?

MMORPG - cant get me head round em, maybe cos i really detest PC gaming, jus doesnt seem right, maybe its cos 90% of em are 1st person games thats why lol!

Anyways, surely im not alone in the motion sickness part am i?

Timesplitters - All of them give me motion sickness to the point of having to lie down. However Halo, Half Life, Goldeneye are all fine. Just the Timesplitter series.

                      ..

                      RPGs and RTS

RPGs (apart from Wonderboy in Monsterland, Zelda and Paper Mario) have dull combat, endless wandering (+ the need to shakee every bush, look behind every rock, have mindless conversations with every idiot villager etc just to find random useful things).

also they have the most insultingly bad plots and dialogue sine MGS2.

RTS....are so constrained. there is one way to win, and they want you to play that way, or else. Usually its numbers.

Try something clever (and "strategic" - the "S" in the name, right...) like a pincer movement, and expect to lose. I have no idea why they dont put some "unit-intelligence" and selft preservation in, like soldiers automatically moving up behind tanks, or calling in the artillery that sits around uselessly unless you command it.

same here - it's the wobbly crosshair that gives me the boke.

with other FPS's the crosshair stays fixed so you shoot in the direction you are facing. whereas Timesplitters has it jumping all over the shop, semi-independent of where you are looking. the constant changing of focus between crosshair and direction makes me ill something rotten.

Goldeneye has the same system, but i think the slower pace negates the hurl factor.

I dont have a passion against a genre, but RPGs are my least played. Used to be sports games until Mario Golf and PES4 entered my world.

I think the most boring genre of all though it train simulation. Eugh. Plus I always get bored of "God Games" within a day of playing it.
