He told me that they had 50 pre-orders and that i was number 37, i think it's the last 2 digits of the order number. Mine's 37, Lyris's is 32.

Not yet but as I've said before, mine seems to be a good bit ahead of anyone else here (starts with 67) so I'll keep IM open and keep hitting F5, posting if I get a shipping confirmation.

just got off the phone with Derek from IM. He said they have indeed recieved their shipment of wiis last night and busy boxing them all up to ship. Some will go out today and the rest by Monday at the latest. The reason for this is becoz the cut off point for the plane to carry the cargo is quite early in canada, but they are working at it chop chop. so expect Monday to hit UK and then delivery by Tuesday/Wednesday i guess. I will update again here as he will call me when they ship out. They are very busy so dnt be surprised if the phone keeps ringing

GRR import madness suck for answering calls! I've been phoning for like 2 days now and just getting that annoying guy.

Did he mention how many wii's they got Willei?

He said he didn't know exactly how many they got since they hadn't finished unpacking. The impression he gave me is that they're unpacking them and packing them straight away to try and get through as quick as possible.

man thats a bit rubbish, monday tuesday wednesday? such a vague time. I think i might phone them up and see if my order 6812x is going out tonight

Everyone got a preorder in (not disorganised divs like me) should have theirs shipped out today and tomorrow. I'm a bit unclear as to what exactly he meant, I got the impression* that they were all getting sent to England in a bunch and then sent out after customs - it doesn't make much sense for them to send them out in smaller batches. But in that case, I didn't know they had any sort of presence in the UK to facilitate that kind of thing. I think for late orders like mine they're sending them from Canada first half of next week. He did seem pretty confident that mine was in the first batch though.

*That'll teach me to try and finish off emails before leaving work while making important calls at the same time!

With the amount of people pestering them it'll be a wonder if anyone gets a machine for next week.

You're looking at a 2-3 man operation I'm guessing. Let them do their job. The fewer calls they take the more Wiis will be packed. FFS.

Ok, I just jumped out of my skin at another incoming "Pharmacy We Recommend" email, so decided to phone VG+.

They told me that they have a delivery coming in tonight which will miss their outgoing shipping and go out on Monday. Monday & Tuesday they have more coming in, but only a total of 13 confirmed, including today's. They're pushing for more and there were hints they thought they might actually have 15 coming in.

They said that if I don't get one from these shipments - I'm obviously right on the limit and it sounds like he was checking my queue position off of a pile of dispatch notes stacked in front of him - then I'll get one from one the next shipments. They have one delivery "coming in from the US" late next week, and another "Canadian one" the beginning of the following week (i.e. around the 4th).

It surprised me that the shipments seem to be so small and from different sources - I guess I owe Rossco an apology - but I didn't quiz them about it. I guess this is good news for those of ya in the queue ahead of me, but possibly somewhat worrying for some of those behind me.

Considering they aren't even taking most of them, what difference does it make? And it's alright for you to be saying that, but you're probably sure of your order. Sorry for caring about it

They're totally bringing it on themselves though. Why not have a little status section about it on their webpage? Why not have a recorded message on the answerphone?

... Anyone waiting for Parcel Force (meaning non courier, USPS postage) should either go get their Wii's or pay the Customs charges over the phone as soon as it arrives. Parcel Force will seemingly just send you a letter to say that it's arrived and that they'll deliver it once you've paid.

After a bad experience I'd never again phone up Parcel Farce to pay customs. After doing so I went to their depot to collect, gave them the letter and when I told them I'd already paid they explained it made the parcel harder to find. Apparently when they look up the parcel on the payments system - at my depot at least - it tells them whereabouts in the warehouse to find the parcel, and by paying I had caused it to disappear off the computer there.

This was a smaller package, so I guess that they might have just overlooked it when they did go searching, and that they'd be able to use your address to find a larger one more easily. I know it sounds frikkin' weird, but this is the only explanation I can imagine for such incompetence.

They refunded me the money for the duty & VAT and (having stalled over their insurance) the supplier shipped out a replacement about 3 weeks later. When I went to collect that I went straight to the depot and they managed to find the package immediately, swiping my card with a chip & pin when they handed over the goods.

In the end, I did get a result because the original parcel turned up on my doorstep another couple of weeks later, but at the time it was all very annoying.

there's a discrepancy in the quoted queue positions between orders 46933 & 46969

There's another discrepancy, though. On the 18th VG+ sent out their email subject "Wii Preorder Queue Update" and gave people a queue position "after [their] initial batch of wiis".

I believe that Kotatsu Neko posted to say his email said he was position 13 (now fallen to 8 because the initial delivery was 5 larger than expected) and that gware posted to say that his position was 19 (now 14).

These figures don't add up if phorenzik, dlittley, Rossco, ginzaUK & reektan all still have their orders. Let me know if you know of any cancellations amongst these.

Parcel Force? is this the service that VG+ is using for their Wii shipments? Sounds like people are having some problems with them. I might see if I can get VG+ to use DHL or something...
