US Wii: Preorder Details Thread

im in the same position with a package from Japan. sent on the 21st and no update since leaving there.

however in the past i have known the tracking to be updated in one large tranche so shouldnt be anything to worry about. should be here tomorrow at the latest though.

Yeah, I've had that too, the tracking gets updated in one go rather than bit by bit (which would actually make it useful )

Come on though guys, I don't get my Wii until December 1st. I know the wait's agonising but hang in there!

Yeah, I'd expect Parcel Force to be shoddy with updating their site TBH

Just checked Parcel Force and, suprisingly, it seems that I can use my USPS tracking number after all. But I guess either the site hasn't been updated or my Wii still hasn't cleared Customs. I'd bet on it being Parcel Force not updating their records though.

I tried to call a few times throughout the evening yesterday and didn't manage to get through once, I'll probably try a few more times today. If anyone does get through, can they ask if they only took as many preorders as they could fill or if they've got a backlog? My money has been taken already, but since I paid through Worldpay with a debit card that's probably not any indication...

They do refund your money very quickly if you cancel. I might be having a second lot of money quickly refunded if I get another vague brush off this evening.

My poor Wii is sitting cold and neglected in a dank Parcel Force warehouse somewhere, or being probed and prodded by HM Customs. At least it's not a PS3 I suppose, then it would have to gtet past the Sony Anti-Import Gestapo as well as HM Customs

I just want my Wii - knowing my luck, it'll turn up at 5PM tomorrow just as 9 rowdy yahoos decend on my place for "last Friday of the month" poker night and I'll lose all my cash by being constantly distracted by the unopened Wii sitting in the corner

keep tracking it and see when it gets to your local DC.

when it does. call them and check everything is ok. then if theres a custom charge just pay it by credit card and theyll send out next day.

altho i remember a few times with parcel force you can pay with cash on delievery if you request to do it when you call them.

I ordered on Monday morning though - my worry is that they left it over the weekend and then took it down once they realised they'd had a shedload of orders!

I'm not in a super rush to get my hands on one or anything though and I won't cancel if I have to wait another week. I would like to know what's going on though, same as everyone else.

they say they should be getting some in weekly. so you should be okay you never know their supplier might be sending more. plus... hopefully since we not getting it at launch we wont have the "buggy" machines with the error.
