US Wii: Preorder Details Thread

It shipped out last night at 7pm (UK time) from Chicago, when do you think I will be receiving it, the service was meant to be 2 -3 days, but ive heard nothing past it being on the bloody plane!

It's because the tracking on USPS Global Express doesn't work internationally. That needs a different service for international tracking - check the USPS website & FAQ's. Ironically, my Wii left Chicago O'Hare Airport at the same time as yours - but no, mine hasn't arrived yet either.

I'd expect to get it either today or tomorrow but, as it'll no doubt be reliant on the ever-useless Parcel Force for delivery once it's in the UK, I'm not getting my hopes up TBH.

My parcel has apparently been on the plane for 36 hours now, do you have any idea why this is, ive never used USPS before (and will NEVER use them again, utterly useless)

LOL - usually comes down to the intense lack of 'people doing their jobs' in this country. The last time that happened my game had been in my hands for 3 weeks before the shipping updated.

If it's Parcel Force you're in for a wait. If there's a customs fee they'll hold your parcel, send you a letter (second class) and then deliver it when you've paid the fees.

There wouldn't be - Parcel Force wouldn't use USPS's tracking number. Maybe they would if you had the "Mega Tycoon Gold Star Global Express International USPS Shipping" option but the USPS site says that costs extra and is a different service.

So, your Wii hasn't been circling the globe in the cargo hold of a 747 for two days, it'll either be in Customs or sat in poxy Parcel Force's warehouse waiting for typically ineffectual Parcel Force delivery. Just like mine

call parcelforce and explain the situation. they usually can check by your post code if they holdng something.

As much as I diss Parcel Force there's a difference between normal Parcel Force (who ARE rubbish) and Parcel Force 24 (or whatever they're called, who are fairly good in my experience).

As the shipping option I have is for a fairly pricey 3-5 business day delivery, I'd expect it to be on Parcel Force 24 instead of regular Parcel Force. So hopefully that would also preclude them sending me a letter instead of delivering it and asking for the cash on my doorstep. Hopefully
