Anyone hear about Nintendo 'forbidding' sales of the US Wii into the UK ('violates customs laws... haha)... or is this just an eBay seller's backpedalling after I won their auction for much lower than they wanted? I'm thinking 'uh, No,' but it looks like I may need back-up on this one. Hehe.

I'm sure the guys at customs are fully aware of this!

Yeah, it sounds like utter rubbish. He said he'd ship to the UK I presume, and your winning bid constitutes a contract, according to eBays terms. If he refuses to ship...

yep he is trying it on. Sony have prevented ebay uk selling jpn and usa consoles but nintendo have not stopped usa Wiis being sold on there

Yeah, I know N are probably the least biggest fan of importers (or they were, before Sony) but they didn't do this with any previous system, so I knew it sounded off. Especially waiting til' the auction is ended to spring this terrible news.

I ordered Zelda off them yesterday - guy said they had loads of copies. Basically asked him that if I ordered now, would it ship straight away.
He said it would - still waiting for shipping confirmation.

Called them yesterday (again) Guy said my card was ok'd etc. Still haven't shipped it. Called them again (just now) - closed. This is a copy of Zelda the guy said would ship straight away (as they had tons of them) - I ordered it on Monday. It's getting cancelled tomorrow if it hasn't shipped.

Just won a Wii and 2 games on eBay for little more than it would have cost to buy them in the shop, so rather pleased. Just that damn shipping. And Customs Dodge!
