US Wii: Preorder Details Thread

ebay is very tempting right now, especially as I'm practically at the bottom of the VG+ list, but I can't quite bring myself to do it. I use ebay a lot to sell stuff both for myself and the shop I work for, but I've never brought anything over ?10 before.

My patience has worn down, and all statments to myself of having other games to play isn't calming me down. I really should just avoid this entire section of NTSC-UK until my Wii eventually becomes available, but right now, its the only section I'm reading

I'm exactly the same as you - right at the bottom of our list, and finding it hard to resist ebay. My biggest concern is the potential for ending up with a knackered machine and having no way of getting it sorted out. Also, I have definately got a PAL machine from Gameplay which it is tempting to just wait for, but I'm still drawn to NTSC for all the usual NOE reasons.

Can't help but feel that VG+ have royally messed this up - they should never have taken preorders if there was any uncertainty about supply.

just thought I'd mention I was 72nd in queue according to Sidneys email earlier this week. So I *think* that means 67th now that 5 extra have shipped...

Wish they would be more forthcoming with info though... doesn't take two minutes to post here and let us know what's going on...

ok called derek last nite at IM and he picked up straight away on the regular number which shocked me!

He told me that i was like 14th in the queue for tehir Wii's and that they got enough stock for everyone up to early this week that pre-ordered it (as in Monday-Tuesday).

He said he was going to be putting my games and stuff in the box with my wii.

He said a batch is going out today and another on Monday and that it could be delivered by Wednesday all depending how long the batch gets held in customs for.

I was shocked to hear i was only number 14 and he said that I was gettin' one My order number is 681XX

Also.. he said he will call everyone when they arrive in the Uk and are ready to ship out to give us our tracking numbers with Amtrack.

I only ordered from IM on Monday order number 683XX. I've rang and emailed a few times but no replies and it's all still saying N/A when I check the order. I guess a credit check takes a while or they just haven't done my order yet.

I ordered on Monday as well and had Shipment Status as "Pending" when I looked again on Tuesday. I would keep trying to speak to them if I were you!

I get no reply from them whatever I do. I bet I can send a cancellation email and they still wont read it or reply. I guess I can't complain as it's my only way of getting a US Wii. I won't buy from eBay so I'll just sit put and keep pestering them. I reckon my UK one will come before the US one but it makes no odds as I can't touch any until 13th Dec as I'm working away. I'll give IM another week and then cancel.

see im kind of glad now that Im is being a little slow on theirs being recieved from suppliers cause that might mean theres a little bit less of a chance from getting one of the buggy machines.

so thats a positive isnt it?
