US Wii: Preorder Details Thread

I'm going to call when I get home, but I don't expect to get through to be honest. The only times I've spoken to them have been when they've called me. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful that they bother to call, but it's frustrating not being able to get through myself, or even have a simple email answered.

More or less. It's not worth my effort getting worked up about it. I have no confirmation email and my order is still pending. To me that means my Wii is still not with them or if it is, hasn't shipped yet.
This "they'll definitely be shipping on..." and "you should be receiving you Wii this week" stuff is all worthless really until it turns up or I at least get an email.

I very much doubt that I'm going to come home from work tomorrow or Friday and find a Wii waiting on me. The realist in me says they haven't bothered shipping it yet and I think, depsite what this Derek guy has said, most others who are still pending think the same thing.

I really should've just gone with Playasia. Tried and tested. I couldn't care less about customs tbh. At least they would have kept me updated.

my PAL pre order is looking a better option for playing zelda on at this rate.

If importmadness are reading this, which I doubt or else they would've done something by now, sort it out. It's getting very dissapointing.

I seem to remember people talking sh*t about IM before, therefore I avoided them. Seeing how you are being treated I'm glad I did. I didn't go with DVDBo because of their previous handling of console launches, but then it would be a gamble since it seems they've sent out Wiis randomly and not based on when you ordered.

I'm also interested to see how Play handles the PAL Wii launch as they screwed up when the X360 was released.

i have hopefully got my order through with VG+ now!!

it turns out my card was declined, sidney had mailed me about it but the mail never came through

after a couple of mails back and forth i have just paypaled him the money so hopefully it will ship out today.

it has to be said that sidney is a top guy and the nicest person to deal with considering the hassle they must be getting

My Wii got into Aberdeen city this morning at 9:18AM or something and it didnt get sent out on their "rounds" till tomorrow

Well, I've spoken to Derek and he told me that my order hadn't shipped, and that he couldn't guarantee when it would. He also said that he's had a lot of people cancelling at the last minute, which apparently is holding things up as he's having to deal with the admin side of that. He still maintains that the machines are there, but that it's taking a long time to get them all shipped. He reckoned he was still working on October's orders, so quite why some people here with November order dates have had a shipping notification, I don't know.

I can't say I'm overly happy about the wait, but at least he's been straight with me tonight. I'm happy to keep my order there and hope that it gets shipped soon. If it comes to the PAL launch and I have the chance to grab one of them, then I'll cancel with IM. Until then, I don't see the point. I'm not going down the eBay route or paying silly money elsewhere.

I had the same credit card problem. Apparently it was Tesco doing some sort of security check (last time I use their card for anything that matters).

I've updated my details but not heard back yet.

Still working on Octobers orders? Bollocks. They only had a few preorders last week remember? And people cancelling only shortens that list.

Maybe he was lying last week? the week before? Maybe he's lying now? Who knows?

I don't think they've got any in at all. I don't think they know when they're getting them either.

I wouldn't know what to believe, if my order was with them it would have been cancelled last week. Luckily I can wait for accessories and a game, that and I'm without sound.
