US Wii: Preorder Details Thread

Being last on the list I didn't expect to get a machine at launch but the email has supprised me somewhat.

It is so tempting to get a PAL unit now, especially as I work in a store that will get them, but I know I'll regret it in the long run.

Final Fantasy XII and Okami have to keep me occupied that little bit longer now, and this might give me the chance to play Gears of War and Bully, so it's not all bad.

I think a lot of people are in the mindset that ' i have so much to play in the meantime ' which is quite a good one.. im currently leaning that way also. Although if I see some stig child playing Zelda on a saturday morning TV show or something and I myself don't have a Wii i'll probably top myself.

Well, I'm 4th on the list of NTSC customers so am still hopeful of receiving it before Xmas.

Did you receive that E-Mail vom VG+ yet?

I'm fifth on the list, and I'm still waiting for it. So I'm still hoping that I get a slightly different version of that E-Mail, like "you too won't get one at launch, but chances are high that you'll be getting one in time for christmas".

See, I sold my 360 and I don't have a PS2 any more so the only thing keeping my occupied right now is EBA which just aint enough.

well, got the email, im gonna cancel my order and go for a pal one now. just have to decide who to go with

my other option is to buy one in new york, but the box looks pretty big to cram in my suitcase, and what if i dont find one out there??

I've been let down too. It's a lousy situation for VG+ and their customers. I'm not angry or anything though. This **** happens.

I will be seeing if I can secure a PAL preorder. My first PAL Nintendo machine since 1887! Not cancelling my VG+ order for now though.

How odd - I am practically at the bottom of our VG+ list and I still haven't received an email - assume its only a matter of time though. Very glad I didn't cancel my Gameplay order - I'm afraid I will be turning to the dark side and going PAL it seems.

For me, the hardest thing about not getting a wii will be work, with all those customers talking about it to me and showing off. I can ignore first play and impressions threads.
