I use a UK PSU for my switched Cube but will dig out the stepdown I originally got with it for my Wii. The label reads:
100W Electricity Converter
Model: TF-200W
Input: 220/240V AC
Output: 110/120V AC
50/60HZ
Is that a 100W or 200W stepdown? Apparently the Wii is only 17W on full power anyway.

I did a few searches on the FCC's website, but couldn't find any info regarding the Wii itself, but I did find mention of the controllers. Could this mean the Wii hasn't ben submitted for FCC approval yet?
Anyway, I thought the FCC were only interested in communications. Radio waves, specifically. I read though a bunch of the PS3 docs and couldn't find any details on total power consumption by the entire console, just the radio components.

To add insult to injury, it's looking like the PS3 might consume less power than the 360 so that ?20 300W one would have been great
The 360 PSU is rated at 200-240V~2.7A or 100-127V~5V depending on region, yet is actually only 203W (16.5A over 12V and 1A over 5V).
To be sure of the wattage we would need a breakdown of the PS3 voltage lines but I'm reasonably confident.
I added the stepdown to my basket last night but decided against ordering it, hoping that the local Maplin would get it back in and I'd save the postage

can someone make out what it says?
Looks like 100V to me....I guess that means a 100 watt step down is needed?Last edited by Kevvy Metal; 18-10-2006, 14:43.

If we find out the output voltages and the currents it passes over each, we can calculate the power consumption with no issue. Unfortunately we can't make them out from that image

Spoke to a customer assitant at DVDboxoffice and they said they should have enough units to meet orders and I only ordered mine a few days back :S They said they wouldn't reduce the item value or declare it as a gift however, so seems like customs are on the agenda. Never imported a console before whats the % of charge we are talking?
