Come on guys, it's the weekend - these guys need rest like the rest of us...

definitely, I agree. Which is why i've not phoned them tonight. But we are gamers after all, and with things like Zelda out in the industry it's very tough not to be a little bit annoying about it all

TBH, the vast majority of businesses work weekends now, and I think its not on the one or two weekends out of 5years where they could be packing in demand just released consoles to their "valued" customers theyre not. I certainly wont be buying any games off them after this slack customer support anyway.

We have absolutely no idea. They said some went out yesterday (apparently) but we've yet to see any email/website confirmation.

I'm still half tempted to phone them.

Import madness might work weekends, but I doubt many delivery companies do pick ups on weekends, especially at reasonable prices. IM may be spending their weekend getting everything ready for first thing Monday.

Or they could be playing Zelda.

Yeah, I really hope I get an email on Monday saying my Wii was shipped on Friday. It's torture hoping for an email confirmation or website order update every day but if I knew I was getting confirmation on Monday I could live with that.

You think that's torture, think about the poor person who's 104 on VG+ waiting list (or possibly 99 now) contemplating spending ?300 for just the console from a HK site.

Well i ended up getting mine from ebay came out at ?199 Delivered for a brand new machine, i'm well pleased with that.

Getting games & Wiimotes seems alot harder though espeicially Zelda and i don't wanna spend 50 quid on it!

I've kept my Play.com preorders for Classic Pad, Nunchuk, Component and Wii Play + Remote, hopefully they'll al work on a US machine, i'll just sell the pal copy of wii play and keep the remote

I'd be shopping on eBay if I were you, mate.

If you're worried about getting a duff one then get the seller to open it up & play it before he ships - it's not as nice as getting a pristine new one, but you could probably buy next week & get it before I do.

At teh present rate it could be a month before VG+ ship yours.

                      Stroller.

Look on the bright side mate. It could be laughing but inside a box with your address on it and on a plane headed for the UK (*is in the same situation as you*)

I've got six Wii's in my watch list right now, but as I said in an earlier post, I've never really brought anything of value from ebay before only sold, and cant help this hesitation I'm fealing. I'd rather not go through ebay, but it has to be better than waiting until January before getting one.

and my gf's mum just kicked me out of their house. wtf

Well I took the plunge and brought off ebay. I won't cancel my VG+ order until The Wii has been delivered. I don't think I'm in any danger of VG shipping my console anytime soon.

ebay cost a little more than I wanted to pay for a wii, but pateince just isn't one of my personality traits.
