Just ordered US Wii from yesasia yesterday, did have a pre-order with woolworths but was told I might not get it for another fortnight, elaniel how long did it take yesasia to deliver your wii, never dealt with them before so unsure of how quick they are, they say when you order you get express shipping but I had an email today giving me a ship out date of the 23/12/2006

Now the UK launch has happened its killing me waiting for the price to come down for the US system, i'm getting weaker and the urge to order one from yesasia or playasia is getting harder to resist.
But while they are going for $500 thats a 100% increase robbing bastards i'm staying strong. When do you recon the situation might change.Comment

You could always try ebay. I grabbed one off there yesterday and paid $500 (?250) for one yesterday with Zelda and Monkeyball and there were plent of stand alone machines going for $400 (give or take $25 either way). Was only anothr $55 for 4-6 day shipping too and the seller was more than happy to mark down the value to help avoid taxesOriginally posted by 1P_King

Wii Shipping Notice Update December 9th
This update is to inform everyone that the next shipment will be coming in early next week but it will be very short. There is suppose to be another shipment later in the week so hopefully that one will be bigger. This weeks shipment was very short probably due to the JAPAN/EUROPE/AUSTRALIA Launches in the past 2 weeks with systems being allocated in those regions in priority. Hopefully things get better from here on out.

Nice find Lazlow. Got to agree that it does look v similar to the Mad Catz one but after checking with a friend of mine that got one for his Wii and says it's spot on I went ahead and ordered one .

My dad actually rang me up yesterday from the US, as he was out shopping and had wandered into a game store! Got him to buy a couple of Wiimotes that were in stock. Sadly he asked the guy if they had any component cables, and sadly it was no, stock back in next week. So shops are selling them over there by the looks of it. Also, what about the component cable? It has disappeared from the catalog...no results from the search box, nothing under Wii HW/accessories, the link reported here and on their blog heads to a non-existent product.
I'm glad I bought a PAL machine too, but I need an NTSC one play with everything I ordered and preordered from VG+!
