Just to mention, the Bristol store also have a PS3 hiding in their grubby display cabinet, and its running Ridge on a 14" portable TV. And the pad was nowhere in sight.

      Twats.

99% of the worlds PS3s are gonna spend their life hooked up like that

It's crazy, CEX spend all this money, yet can't be arsed to buy a ?5 component cable and/or HDMI lead. Moronic.

Especially if they're using the PS3 to drum up interest for when they have the UK machine in stock next year. You'd have thought they'd want it to look as good as possible to make people wanna buy one from them. Otherwise what's the point in them having it in the shop?

The newly opened CEX in Lisburn N.I. has a PS3 on display, but they never turn the damn thing on even thou it's sitting beside a HD LCD

Stuff them, i'll see for my self when mine arrives shortly

i played it again yesterday this time at watford cex while waiting for my train home. i took the liberty of turning on the motion thingy to see what it's like. it's nicer than i thought it'd be (i assumed tilt switches in there so digital tilt but it's analogue). got a bit mad during corners and in hte few minutes i had to try it i hadn't got the hang of it by then.

sticks for me, although i did notice the deadzone is much smaller now which is good

So someone might be crazy enough to buy one of their pre-owned ?280 Premium 360s instead?

They have pre-owned 360 Premiums for a mere ?280? Wow! I was thinking of getting an extra one, this just might push me over the edge

Got to play this at the Manchester CEX, don't know whether it was just Resistence or not but I've never been so bored by a first experience of a nw console. Didn't seem to be attracting prolongued interest from anyone else too. It's like its become a given that people will buy one as its a Playstation, but knowing you'll get one and being excited by the console are towo different things.

the stoke CEX has got a ps3 as well, hooked up to a acoustic solutions LCD tv via composite. RR was on looked poor the image was very fuzzy so i couldn't really see if it was good or not. one thing i did see was the size it's massive, they had it next to a 360 box and it was bigger than that. they had resistance as well but didn't put that on.

You'd think these people would have an old cheap PS2 Component cable in the drawer or something.

Seriously, I know not everyone knows about cables and the technical side of things, but if people who work in a games store don't know a thing about hooking a HD console up to a HD screen, how are the masses ever going to catch on?

                              They won't, generally.

mt50 - the PS3 is on par size-wise, it's bigger in some dimensions, but not massive.

it's taller than the 360 box and almost as wide. that's massive imo just like the xbox 1.

wouldn't put me off owning one mind(if i did want one).
