Wii component cable

I just belled Game, they say they are expecting the cables, but it's too late to preorder. I'll be there at 8AM on Friday then

Do we know yet if they are delayed or not? I've got some on order in the UK but I've ordered one on ebay because I'm not convinced that we will get them on the 8th.

My component slots are filled up with my 360 and DVD. I even play my old XBOX via scart now.

So...the Wii then. Does the RGB scart cable have red and white audio connections as well? I need them to go through my speakers.

Otherwise, it's composite all the way for me...what's the Wii look like on it?

I put a preorder down on one ages back. Does this mean I'll get one or will I need to arrive there early? Apparently my Game is opening at 7am on Friday morning, so I guess I plan to be there around 6-6:30 to wait.

Gonna head in now and speak to them about it, also to play/see the demo unit people are telling me is in the store.

Just spoken to my GAME again who'd previously guaranteed me the component cable at launch (as in preordered) now saying they're not sure if they'll have them........

Well ill be getting down to Gamestation about 10:30ish in the hope of being able to grab a component cable. Im not convinced my pre-order for one still stands after what they told me about the games being first come first served. Hopefully most of the people in front of me dont have HDTV's, and those that do dont show up until the next day to give me more of a chance of getting one.

I spoke to nindie.com today and even they don't know the situation with cables.

I've had the Wii a week now and it's doing nothing. Zelda is the game of the decade and I can't play it

If you have a preorder it should still stand, I can't imagine why they wouldn't hold it for you.

I wanted to preorder so I wouldn't have to brave the queue of people picking up their machines as the cables are more likely to go to them.

I just called the local Gamestation, they should be getting some, but they will be giving people with console preorders 1st dibs on them.
The guy reckons they should be getting enough cables to match the number of machines they get

So, here's my plan of action:

Big Gamestation-7AM
Game-8AM
Little Gamestation in a corner of the local Blockbuster-10AM

I can only find manual ones, everything is automated in my system - all going through a Yamaha amp or straight to telly. Got a universal remote that says things like: SKY, DVD, XBOX, XB0X360 etc. All I have to do is press one of those and everything thurns to the right video/audio setting etc.

It's great. Unless the switch is automatic, it's a no go.

I mean, it's only the Wii, it's not exactly Hi Def, component aint gonna be great on it anyway (compared to RGB scart for example)...why doesn't the UK get an S-Video cable?! Where is it?

Sure it will. You can't get prog scan through RGB, can you?

Get a joytech switcher, they are manual but remote controlled so you can add them to your universal remote. I've got a harmony remote and it integrates well with it.

Nope. People are resorting to Ebay at the mo, or waiting on restocks from Playasia & the like.

Well I ordered mine at the weekend from Playasia and got a notice saying they are the preparing order today.................christ knows how long that will take though ?
