Note: As forecasted by our suppliers, we are expecting shortage on Wii Remote Controls, Wii Component AV and Wii S-Video Cables. We estimate to have a better overview about what is in stock and what is on backorder by end of this week as some suppliers have not yet given full quantity reconfirmations as of now.

As I've got my component cables ordered from gameplay.co.uk and i've just noticed its states: "Please note this item will be in extremely short supply, we cannot guarantee orders will be despatched for day one delivery."

I contacted Amazon again concerning my pre-order and they say its still on target for launch, they know GAME got sent a email about delays but nothing was sent their way regarding delays. Maybe GAME and gameplay thought they would get more then they did?

I'm the manager of an indie store, and we can't get any in. My fiancee is the assistant manager at Gamestation and I have seen their Wii allocation documents. Nowhere on them does it even mention component leads, so it looks like they won't be getting any as well. It's looking more likely that we will all have to go 3rd party, and that's a long shot as i'm only assuming those will be out on day 1. If I were Joytech or Madcatz I'd churn loads of cables out and i'd make a killing

Seems my order at PA has updated to actually guarentee (I use the word loosely, but PA have been reliable over the 3 years I've used them) sending out my remote and component cable by the 4th.

I think the mods are just as angry so I think they'll let it slide. I've had my Wii for 3 days now and I'm desperate to play Zelda. I've only played Zelda for 2 hours and I don't want to do anymore until I get a component cable. If I had a CRT TV then yeah I'd put up with it. But 480i composite on a HDTV looks sooooo bad!

Play Asia have had some Jap Wii stuff in. The component cables now say they are back ordered so does this mean they had some and some lucky people have had theirs sent out? Mine still says preparing order to ship on or before 4th Dec.
