Just noticed that club Nintendo (UK) When did it become that? Will soon be adding the chance to exchange stars points for Wii points. I wonder if this will be on a 1 for 1 basis.

Does anybody know when this is going to start?

Indeed, I have about 6000 stars.

I have 1700 now, interestingly though checking back on my registered products.

Gamecube : 1000 stars
Wii : 500 stars (+ Wii sports 250 stars) = 750 stars.

No stars in the accessories either

This makes me think that stars are going to become harder to get, so anybody with a big total should hold onto them. I was gutted i only got 500 stars for my wii as im sure i got 1000 for my GBA and 1000 for my DS also.

i have nearly 8000. the only time i spent them was on the ds preorder shinanigans. you'd think they would do that with the wii.

Thing about this for me is, why would I want to spend my points on things that can be bought with money elsewhere? The beauty of the stars catalogue is spending the points on stuff that will never be available in the shops like limited edition merchandise etc. Granted they hardly ever update it but when they do it's worth it. I'm going to hang on to my stars a bit longer I think. Got nearly 7000 at the moment but I've spent 5000 in the past. Tracking stars down became a bit of an addiction for me!

im sure i got 1000 for my GBA and 1000 for my DS also.

Not too sure about the DS (Japanese import for me) but my GBA SP was 500 points. Most games are 250, my GB player was 400. I've got 3510 points for visiting the site (its a startup tab on firefox so i dont make a point of visiting, it doe it automatically).

The only thing i've had off them was the Zelda Collectors edition (which i've never played!).

But surely by giving us Wii points we are going to end up getting FREE Virtual console games for just buying Nintendo products you already wanted. I mean just looking at the list of games out now, I could have spent ?50+ on there last night! Golden Axe, Sonic, Mario, the list is big and gonna get bigger.

Sure beats the hell out of paying for Live arcade games.

Ace. I have 21000 points. I have been saving them for ages. The most I had at one time was 33000. This seems to be a record. Anyone got more then me?

I get your drift and I think it will be great for a lot of people, however occasionally Nintendo do put merchandise on there that cannot be bought from any shop and is strictly limited edition. Therefore these things, from a collectors POV are the kinds of stuff I would prefer to spend my stars on.

Ive got 17,000 now, but wont be connecting my Wii to the Net, so i wont be spending them anytime soon
