Another bleh week for the EU PSP. SFA3M is the only thing that would interest me.

A warning for anyone considering the Mana Khemia port: apparently it has utterly appauling load times for everything (including going to the menu) and has a lot of bugs in it.

I don't think the PSP Go has improved load times on anything does it?

Tried very briefly (like two or three comparisons) comparing the loading speeds on Monster Hunter Freedom Unite for the UMD installed and the digital download version.
Strangely the UMD when installed loaded faster than the digital download, but loaded about the same after i installed the digital download.

Not quite sure why that is but i thought it was pretty odd.

Though as i say i only tested this quickly (as a bit of a novelty of owning two versions of the game) so the results might vary.

I think it does compared with UMD games. It does vary and some may not be noticable at all but I've noticed improved times on many games.

By all accounts, the loading times in GTA Chinatown Wars are massively different on UMD compared with the PSN version.


As for this update, well, SFA3 is a big game that was missing from the UK store and I'd see its addition as a very good thing. I got it on the US store but, still, it's a step in the right direction for the UK store.

The UMD version has a data install option and although that speeds up the load times, you're still facing a load when you do pretty much anything. From what I understand these Gust RPGs are particulalry menu intensive so these loads make it unbearable.

Oh FFS, why in the hell does the UK store still refuse to show the require MB for downloads? It's like they have some prat work experience boy in the office who looked at the US store, thought to himself: "Nah geezer, I can do better than them" and promptly decided to make the entire UK store the complete opposite and ****.

Is it really that hard to say how many MB a download is?

I read this morning that the Mana Khemia download is much improved in terms of load times when compared to the UMD (but not got any first hand experience). By all accounts, it makes the game playable.
