with the cube's freeloader you'd press Z to bring up the region-forcing flags. try it and see

btw about jap waverace having problems, i had that and it worked perfectly on my pal cube with both my old buggy FL (1.04 i believe) and my newer 1.06B one that came with the action replay.

Quick question; When I clicked the euro site at codejunkies it said uk.codejunkies, as soon as I registered to buy the Freeloader I was redirected to the us.codejunkies.

I tried a few times but I was redirected everytime. Have I missed something?

Okay mate here's what u do:

Go to www.codejunkies.co.uk, click on the Euro flag, hey presto you're on the UK site.
Click the link at the top advertising the GC AR & FL working on Wii, scroll to bottom of page, choose which 1 u would like i.e. AR + FL @ ?19.99 or FL solus @ ?9.99.

i would also like to know if prog scan output is on US GC games on a PAL Wii as it makes a LOT of difference in many many games

I just tried this FL v1.0e with my Jap WaveRace on my GC & it works fine so it must be summat to do with the Wii.

This is naturally just theory, but I probably know what's the problem. The problem is that Euro Wii doesn't have packed-in support for Jap charset anymore, and that's why some Jap games can't boot correctly. If that's the case, it shouldn't at least affect any US games.

It may be that it is the same as with the GC where the only difference between the Japanese and US systems was a single jumper on the main board and so there was the character support. Since europe uses a different video signal and power rating they made a different hardware revision which fo course meant no Japanese character support (F-Zero GX being a prime example).

This is why it was possiblt to simply fit a switch to the US system (and vice versa) to be able to ply Japanese games and even get the GC dashboard in Japanese.

This would make sense.

So I'm buying a Freeloader for my Wii. What *import only* titles would you guys recommend? So far all I can think of are Alien Hominid, Chaos Field and the new GC version of Radilgy when it comes out.

i got chaos field for the ps2

as chaos field for the cube will not save with the freeloader (and will erase the memory card)
