According to Gameplay and Shopto, this comes out on Friday. This console version seems to have been sneaking around in the shadows. We expecting poo things? TeamXbox reviewed it recently. Sounds pretty average. I've had mine on preorder a while, may as well see what it's like for myself.

      IGN gave this 6.1 on 360 and 5.3 on PS3. Must...stick...with..preorder haha.

I'm not to bothered about this latest installment; especially after that god awful trailer they released. However, it will be interesting to see what Edge or Gamestm have to say about it.

apparantly, there are some big differences between the X360 and PS3 version, and I'm not actually talking about graphics, but like actual content.

also, i lost interest in this game.

Huh framerate drops. The developer man interviewed on playr said that they'd got it running significantly above the recommended pc specs. Gashtastic.

Multiplayer structure is different apparently, in that the 360 version will throw you straight into a game whereas the PS3 version will give you a list of servers to choose from... which would be a good thing except that apparently it doesn't give any useful information (Like ping, for example).

I can't see this doing all that well on either console to be honest, seems to have really been downplayed since the buzz around the PC release last year. And isn't Battlefield due out fairly soon?

Also, the offline campaign mode is not in the PS3. The offline campaign mode is, again, focused on providing goals for the player in the Achievement system as well. That just wasn’t the focus of the PS3.
Training mode is 360 only and campaign mode is 360 only. As far as the training mode, it was really something that was a design and vision direction that came directly from Nerve working with our team there
“Nerve has a lot of experience on the 360 but they don’t have a lot of experience on the PS3 development. For a team that would have to do both for a small company, we felt that it would be best to put the 360 development with a team that really knows the 360 and put the PS3 development with a team that knows the PS3 and that was Underground.
Not really a wise choice after reading all that.

Team xbox review also shows dis

For instance, I mentioned that you can earn upgrades to a class. However, there doesn’t appear to be any screen within the game that spells out what you earn with an upgrade, so you’re running a bit blind. (To compare versions a bit, the PlayStation 3 game has a very detailed subscreen that shows you how you’re progressing toward any particular upgrade and what benefits come with it. If it’s any consolation, on the flip side, the PS3’s graphics are far inferior to the Xbox 360’s version.)
some useful info except for the blatant damage control.

Any developer who advertises their game in a trailer with a LOL and KILL3D vibe to it instantly looses my interest. That trailer i'm talking about should have been made by the over-enthusiastic community members; not the developers,

So commenting on the text of a review posted immediately reduces you to GameFAQs status now?

I don't see the problem with gamerankings, doesn't it collate dozens of reviews?

I don't know about their experience with online code, but I do know that they're very good at solid game engines with high frame rates, Aggressive Inline ran at 60fps rock solid with some rather nice sharp textures etc on the Cube.

Aye, but it collates all the gash ones written by clueless people who give Need for Speed: Tesco Car Park Racing 8 out of 10, then give Outrun 2 3 out of 10 because it only has 1 track

Only trust Edge or Gamestm. Alternatively your own analysis is the best. Unfortunately you have to spend £40 for the latter option.

EDGE is okay, last time I checked they were well written but somewhat inconsistent with reviews. Honestly, its pretty easy to pinpoint which games are good and which are crap due to all the media we get from the internets. Besides, theres nothing really forcing you to buy the game day one, you can always wait it out and see what the consensus on the internet.
