I think they are trying to compete with the sims market and aiming it all them. It's really hard to tell with a game like this if it can be successful or not until its released. With Spore coming out this week, its going to have a hard time.

Sackboy has wonderful appeal and hes so darn cute, its the sort of character you would see designed in Japan by Sanrio or someone like them. I'm not suprised they are claiming him as their Sony Mascot, bloody love him. Wish they would hurry up and release some toys!

I continue to really look forward to this game and will definitely buy it myself, I really have this feeling though that it won't hit the levels of expectation Sony have for it, I actually don't doubt the game will be great, i just don't see the public going out and buying it in its millions.

Nothing about this smacks of huge mass market appeal mega smash, it has small-mid level media darling/forum dwellers favourite written all over it.

I agree merf and I believe it'll be more word of mouth that'll sustain a large amount of purchases.

Lots of my friends have seen LBP and couldn't care less, but I'm certain the moment I show them it in motion and what you can create they will buy it themselves.

The Disney DLC hasn't been confirmed yet but it certainly sounds like its' going to and as I suggested there could be similar stuff from other companies making an appearance.

Sony has told Eurogamer that official Disney downloadable content for LittleBigPlanet has only been mentioned as an example of third-party support, adding that nothing has been finalised.

"LBP will have a steady stream of downloadable content, and we have mentioned in the past that we are in talks with third-parties regarding themed downloadable packs," a spokesperson told Eurogamer, shedding light on speculation from the Penny Arcade expo over the weekend.

"Disney has been mentioned in the context of being an example. We are currently still in talks with third-parties and are consequently unable to confirm anything at this stage."

Developer Media Molecule had previously boasted of having "loads of plans" for LittleBigPlanet DLC, although the team would wait to see what people wanted first.

Coincidentally, Sony happens to have loads of plans for LittleBigPlanet, including making game character Sackboy the new face of PS3.

Still, not long now, with LittleBigPlanet due out exclusively for PS3 on 29th October.

Nah, the new issue (no. 24) is not out for a bit - I only just received my subscription copy of the current issue in the post last Saturday (that's where I got the info from) - next issue will be out on 30th September

Waaaah I want this! Just watched some more videos I hadn't seen from a month or so back. Are there any more recent ones? Even though I thought this was gonna be a cheap downloadable game and not a full price release I'm not too bothered as it looks great. Sometimes I can't be bothered playing a proper game but just want to relax and have fun and this looks like the game for that.

Mirror's Edge was last months cover - FIFA 09 with Wayne 'Mr Potato Head' Rooney is on the cover this month.

Trust me, it is the most recent issue with info stating that hopefully a special gift will be included in next months issue, honest!

I think the posted mags come out a little earlier than the ones in the shops.
