Ahhhh, Ninja Gaiden. What a bitch.
Anyway, God of War:
"Kratos! What are you doing?! I'm over here!!!"
OVER WHERE!!?!?!!??! I can't move the f'ing Camera!!! I can't see you you stupid bint!!!
That was most recent anger moment.
I have also, when younger, broken 2 Atari 2600 joysticks and 2 Megadrive pads. Both using just my bare hands - I literally just tore them apart. Kind of a Hulk moment.

I've had bouts of the Grage in the past, but it never got to the point where I broke anything. (and thankfully nothing on the level of those chaps in the Youtube links) Normally I'd just end up swearing which often degenerates into Lou Ferrigno-esque growls. The word 'Twatbastard' often gets thrown about too, but that's pretty much it these days.
The last outburst I can remember was with God of War last year. That cliff in the Hades level with the blades - that one had me muttering a fair few uncouth oaths. I've definitely calmed down nowadays. Yesterday while playing Parodius and dying multiple times, the only outbursts from me were cries of "oh fudge!" "fiddlesticks!" and "bastard clowns!"

I remember getting so furious with Sonic 2 on the MD back in the early 90s that I pulled the cartridge from the console and lobbed it across the room towards an open window. Luckily for me (in hindsight) it twatted off the frame and fell behind the radiator.
I don't know what game it was, but my Dual Shock PS1 pad still has teeth marks embedded in the rubber analogue sticks, where I proper lost my temper and tried to bite the bastards off. There's some dental work on the bottom right of the pad, too, where I've proper gnashed the plastic.
Now I've calmed down considerably, though God of War pushed me to fury about a year ago. The missus told me afterwards that all she could hear coming from the next room was "Yer f*ckin twa**in bastard c*nt, how the f*ck are yer meant to do this f*ckin t*at? C*NT!!" over and over for about half an hour.

Today, when my 65 Hour Final Fantasy 12 save became corrupt! I went through a rage of something to smash followed by the most gutting feeling I have had since I completed a U.S FF3 on a PAL SNES with an action replay only to find it would only show 5 minutes of the ending until the screen went blank. The music would carry on but the screen went blank every single time.
gutted

Sorry but I don't really understand why people get SO mad over games, and then take their anger out on controllers / consoles / games etc
Sometimes I have got frustrated in the past, but I would NEVER throw a controller against a wall / desk / floor - if you break the bloody thing, how are you supposed to play on it again?
Smashing up a game is just a senseless waste.. I mean I could understand if it was something like Fifa 96 on the Megadrive.. smash away.. or even Alf on the Master System.. I wouldn't smash that though, since its so r@re

It was v. satisfying though, cheaply made piece of **** that it is.
After plugging it in again it set on fire...so its not something i'd do again.

I completed Yoshi's Island DS last night and that's a very frustrating game, the camera's rubbish at times, not panning in the direction you're facing so you have to make a blind leap and of course it gets much harder towards the end. I had over 120 lives and by the time I finished it I had just over 50 and then trying the secret levels I ended up on 5 and I didn't even complete any of them!
I usually just throw my DS into a pile of clothes or something so it doesn't get damaged at least, after turning it off in disgust of course. Same with my PS3 pad when Motor Storm's doing my head in with it's scrums etc, which is another game with a really bad camera at times - are they getting worse or what? I mean why you couldn't pan the screen left or right with the shoulder buttons in YI DS like you could with Mario World I do not know...
The other game that's really frustrated me recently is Wipeout, which I finally obtained another copy of after selling my US PS1 and games a while back. Got a PAL copy this time which has a few more music tracks and seemingly a few other changes, ie less slow down, but some very annoying glitches that I don't remember being in the US version, like getting tangled up with another craft and then getting launched into a wall, or the stutter before the 3 corners near the end of Silverstream with the speed boosts that upsets your rhythm etc...
I mean it was always a frustrating game, but the UK version seems to be as frustrating as any game ever and really brought out the worst of my gaming rage, making me throw the controller, the disc and on one occasion even my PS2, which I've been playing it on... Thankfully it still worked alright afterwards, as did the disc and controller, which I'm pretty sure I punched, though I can't find the disc any more, so I haven't played it in a bit!
But things like being tractored back onto the track at a snails pace when you could easily have rejoined the track after a jump, really make for a frustrating game...
My gaming rage was worse when I was a teenager though when I used to throw the controller at the console and throw the cartridges and controllers at the wall etc. I broke several controllers, my first copy of Mario kart doing that and then my SNES when I tried to play the broken copy of Mario kart, which was a shame... Must have shorted it I guess, maybe it was just a fuse inside the SNES...
