    OK if you insist

You should notice that the enemies spawn randomly after every nuke that is destroyed but they always spawn in at some point

The way I did it was to kill everything until the first nuke appears and then to destroy it

Now you want 1 of 2 particular enemies to spawn in now to make the 7 minutes easy as pie to achieve. You want either the flying ships or the red triangles.

If you get the flying ships kill all but one of them and then nothing else apart from bomb ships will spawn in.

If you get the red triangles (as I did) then you simply keep them in your sight and boost away when they get close.

As long as either 1 flying ship or some red triangle enemies are still alive then nothing else will arrive. You just have to be aware to keep away from the exploding countdown timer thing as it can wipe out the enemies meaning you have to start over

Repeat the first part until you get one of the necessary spawning enemies and then its a doddle to get to 7 minutes

Thanks, obvious when you think about it, will give it a whirl over the weekend, the three minute co-op trophy seemed an age, seven minutes is going to seem like a lifetime

I boought this when it came out in the UK PSN shop, been playing on & off since then and finally finished the first planet !

i'm rubbish at shooters but for some reason quite like this.

With my newly setup US account I downloaded this last night. As far as twin stick shooters go I feel it's at the top of the pile. Whilst I like GW I find it way to busy and lacks the variety the SSHD has.

Returned to this yesterday to break out the "Shock and Awe" trophy. Only one left to get,the co-op one. Is it difficult to unlock? Gonna have to get my brother to help me to do this one and I have a feelin his terrible skills may not be able to cope.
I'm pretty much payin 3 quid just for the trophy tbh which is a bit sad but havin 100% in the game would be rather satisfying. Been readin you don't get platinum trophies for downloadable games tho.

You can do the co-op one easily yourself, just need two controllers, I did it third attempt, just keep both ships real close together, don't shoot and only move the minimum amount required. If you die restart, otherwise there will be asteroid fragments flying about.

Cheers. Should be able to do that later on then. Next up Pixeljunk Eden.

I've been inspired to pick this up again since speaking to a friend that is currently having score battles with one of his work mates. Unfortunate for them I obliterated their scores and made it into the top 50,000 on the leaderboards, which I'm pleased with, especially having not played it much since I purchased it. Now I've well and truly got the score chasing bug, which is something I've not really had since the 16-bit days. I'm usually more about the story and experience nowadays, but it's nice to zone out to something a bit more pick up and play, although saying that some of my more recent sessions have ended up being over and hour.

I'm actually tempted to pickup the PSP versions, has anyone tried it yet?

There is a First Play thread on it here I'm sure - after a very quick search, scrub that, impressions must have been posted in one of the PSN threads?

The PS3 version used to kill my thumbs/wrists after about twenty minutes play. A cracking game otherwise.

Yeah can't find any threads other than this one. Anyway, after reading a few reviews I decided to take the plunge and download the PSP version and the expansion. First impressions are very good. Technically it's every bit as busy as the PS3 version, and in some aspects gameplay wise it's actually better. Obviously the only thing that really lets it down is the lack of a 2nd thumb stick, but the developers have done a great job of transferring the controls to the face buttons. One thing that really saves it is when you tap the buttons it spread your shots. Also it features a few more game modes on top of the normal arcade and planet modes, but so far I've only played the bomber mode which plays a bit like Every Extend Extra where the only weapon you have are bombs. Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan.

I've played this a lot when I bought my PS3, it's an amazingly addictive game and great for highscore battles.

what mode are you playing ? my fav's are arcade and endless

Pretty much arcade at the moment, with the odd stint on the planet mode. Not sure I have an endless mode, is that something that unlocks?

Endless mode is in one of the DLC packs.
