Do you have to mention these irks on the playstation blog for them to get 'noticed' ?

It'd be good if there was a 'feedback' option in the actual XMB where you could post an irk.

It seems they are quite responsive to suggestions (despite some of them taking ages, clock positioning for example).

Some of this stuff i.e the clock positioning, what developer doesn't see it from the get go? Why does it even get released with such a blinding fault. I don't get it sometimes.

Nothing worse than having the xmb load up and have whatever game/demo is highlighted suddenly blasting through the speakers. Seems there is no standard for levels and some of these are well in excess of normal listening levels.

What Joe and Kernow said. I want to be able to name people as I know them. I have a bunch of peeps on my list that I know are form here but I don't recognise the name so I never try and game with them which is a shame.

One thing I'd kill for, is the ability to have an option in the display notifications where it says 'just display new mail notifications'. I hate watching a film and then someone on my friendslist is checking all the stores and:

xxx has signed on (probably turned his ps3 on)
1 second later
xxx has signed off (lets see whats on the US store)
10 seconds later
xxx has signed on (lets see whats on the UK store)
10 seconds later
xxx has signed off (what was I thinking, theres never anything good on the UK store)

If I could just have *you have received a new message* I would be quite happy, when I disable psn notifications I can't see when I have a message during gameplay, which is dumb. Yes I know about the little envelope in the top right since 3.0, but you can't see that in game.

They still need to add a labelling function to people's PSN names. I want to be able to have the person's real name showing (to me only) so that I know it's Gavin from work etc.

Yeah these changes (3.10) haven't been added yet.

You could have possibly installed the non-mandatory update that was released shortly after 3.00 that fixed the widespread Uncharted: Drake's Fortune crashing bugs many people were experiencing on the new model PS3 consoles.

I had to force mine to update and having done so I'm not seeing any of the changes you guys are talking about - my friend list still looks the same and I don't see an option to change your 'box' colour...?

In fact I'm assuming that you were talking about the video and this update isn't out yet.. in which case what the hell was it that just installed onto my PS3? lol

Yeah, I could never understand why that wasn't an option. Change the font size? Fine. Make it the default? No problem. Don't allow you to change it back? **** off!
