Following up on my post on the previous page...
It annoys me somewhat that "Jap new import appreciate" thread has become bitchfest 2003 on perceived "have and have not's".
Why not just skip the thread instead barrelling in and spraying it with cat urine.
Here's a thing, I AM an elitist I always have been, always will be, and come from a very long line of elitists.
That has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that I got a slight pop from seeing the size of the Luigi's mansion Jap box up close and personal, or was surprised that the PS2 was slightly deeper than I thought it was going to be or that Kuru Kuru Kurin was still fully playable even though I don't have a clue what the on screen text said.
This is NTSC-UK we import, many of us do it because we-enjoy-it, if anyone doesn't then there are hundreds of boards and thousands of threads which can cater to you.
Jap console being the most interesting desirable or exciting thing in gaming is a statement of opinion, no one claimed it to be a fact, for other people I'm sure the US launch is a massive deal. It's a real big deal for me as I finally get my hands on the games which you can't just bluff your way through the language barrier.
