I disagree with that to be honest...

The first couple of times this demo was very disappointing as there just seemed o be nothing to it at all. Since then I've spent time to play it well instead of just playing it.

Once you work out the moves there appears to be far more depth to it than first appears. the enjoyment I get while playing it is trying to get through the level well by controlling how the battles play out with carefull use of blocks, counters and attacks.

It's soo easy to get through the level badly but it's a lot harder to get through it without taking any hits and making what you are doing look good all the way through...

That's fine - the difference though being with Ninja Gaiden you HAVE to use all the moves & tricks at your disposal to progress - You cannot rely on one or two moves to progress through chunks of the game it forces you to learn how to break an enemies attack pattern, use the scenery and moves to make space for yourself, use shurikens/projectiles to provide breathing space.

With (what we've seen) of HS so far you can rely on a couple of moves over & over - It's bad design - sure there's plenty of moves and they look good but where's the motivation to use them if you don't need to ? Nobody is watching so making the fight play out looking good is to no end unless they've included some sort of grading system a-la DMC/NG ???

while I dont fancy HS's chances much... I do remember a developer walkthrough interview at E3 where they were asked about button bashing. They said that it will suffice for a short while, but you'll soon find you'll have to use different tactics/combinations of combat to breakdown certain enemies.

I think Heavenly Sword stands a chance of being a good game. People just have to check their expectations, that's all. It's probably not going to redefine the genre it's in.

Some of you need to watch this and take tips. It's how you slag off games properly.

Oh and it's worth watching the RE5 bit too

I'm laughing so much my body is hurting. If I'm down hospital tonight, I'm blaming you Spatial.

the person doing this is clearly a huge fan (being polite, lets call it a huge rip off) of Charlie Brooker and his Screenwipe program, which seeing as a few of you found this funny you should all check out on BBC3 if its repeated, or via your friendly torrent emporium.
