It was working okay for me again today, until I just went back to the dash from a game and now it's doing the same thing again.

My dash is very slow to load up XBL too
and Matchmaking on halo 3 could make me kill someone now.
It takes blooming forever to find a rankded team slayer game. It'll say "player found" until all 8 spaces are full then frikkin "restart search" it does this alot and in the end i always end up with games of uneven teams me always being in the team with less!!!!

Couldn't connect into Live all last night so thought I would stream a episode of Dexter. It kept on failing and giving me an error message saying that I needed to download an update from Live in order to play it. Tried a previous episode that I had already watched and got the same message???
Do you need to be connected to Live to stream AVIs? If you do that really is stupid.

Might be a bit like the newest Windows media player which downloads codecs on the fly for certain formats. Though I agree, with a console that isn't always online for some people it'd be rather stupid to include in as a feature in a dashboard update only to forget to say "Only works if online"...

You may have noticed that the LIVE service has been having a few issues over the past few days. This includes things like signing in, matchmaking and account recovery. Not everyone has had problems, but I know some of you have and I wanted to give you and update. While the service was never completely offline, problems like this are not acceptable. The entire LIVE team has been working day and night to ensure that you can have a great LIVE experience. Tried my Dexter AVI and it worked straight away so it does look as if you need to be signed into Live to stream them. Very disappointing.
