XBL gone down?

It was working okay for me again today, until I just went back to the dash from a game and now it's doing the same thing again.

Not working tonight for me and my friend, we had no problems at all last night. Been looking forward to a few games all day stupid live. Does the PS3 ever have these kinda problems? I've never heard of PSNetwork going down... and oh, that's right it's free. Figures.

Xbox live seems to be a bit buggered for me since around 7ish. It keeps signing me in and out and I can't get any online games in COD4. This isn't good enough. It's been buggered around 3 times in the last week, and we all pay ?40 per year. Methinks a complaints in order....

I'm getting the same thing now. A Live test works fine but the first three blades are just spinning again.

Edit: The Live test checks out, but I cannot sign my profile in. After a short period it signs me in with the option "Connect to Xbox LIVE" on the Marketplace and Xbox Live blades.

Aaaaand back to the spinning circle for me for about 10+ minutes on start up tonight. Everything was sluggish as hell when it did finally appear.

Please MS, I just want to play some games not sit there watching an empty dash. Sort it out!

This last dash update has brought some issues. I would rather have the previous version with slower guides if it means a more stable Live service.

My dash is very slow to load up XBL too

and Matchmaking on halo 3 could make me kill someone now.
It takes blooming forever to find a rankded team slayer game. It'll say "player found" until all 8 spaces are full then frikkin "restart search" it does this alot and in the end i always end up with games of uneven teams me always being in the team with less!!!!

Couldn't connect into Live all last night so thought I would stream a episode of Dexter. It kept on failing and giving me an error message saying that I needed to download an update from Live in order to play it. Tried a previous episode that I had already watched and got the same message???

Do you need to be connected to Live to stream AVIs? If you do that really is stupid.

Might be a bit like the newest Windows media player which downloads codecs on the fly for certain formats. Though I agree, with a console that isn't always online for some people it'd be rather stupid to include in as a feature in a dashboard update only to forget to say "Only works if online"...

You may have noticed that the LIVE service has been having a few issues over the past few days. This includes things like signing in, matchmaking and account recovery. The '300' download is still shafted here. Failed after about 60% yesterday, and refuses to startup again now. Seems lots of people are having the very same problem after MS dropped the price to 100 points. Takes the piss that it kills live and your dashboard though, what a joke.

Working ok now. Signed me in straight away but took a long time to show the info on the marketplace blade.

Tried my Dexter AVI and it worked straight away so it does look as if you need to be signed into Live to stream them. Very disappointing.

Mine doesnt? I can stream anything from my computer without being signed into Xbox live
