I wonder what Nintendo make of shops doing this.

Get some proof of it then coerce them to give you discounts/freebies or else phone Nintendo. They would get into a lot of trouble for doing something like that.

it had "minor" scratches on the touch screen, although the ds lite was in immuclate conditon and boxed, i cleaned it before i gave it to them too, still i got much more money than i brought it in the first place.

Edit: Just noticed I have to be a full member to sell to them, does it cost anything at all? All I can see on their website is that I need to provide some form of ID to open a member account.
you don't have to pay them anything, just give the proof of adress and i think signature or pasport, the useual id stuff, when you have done that they give you a membership card so you don't have to keep giving them id all the time, i wish game would do something simular although you would have to be pretty mad to give them your stuff in the first place lol

Nope. That's not blackmail, which implies initial wrongdoing on oneselves' part. It's more like a situation where you complain to a foodcompany because you found rubbish in their food and the company sends you gifts to keep you quiet...

Oh well that's worrying for me - unless your minor scratches weren't actually minor. The crack's not got any bigger but I worry that they will think it will and refuse to buy it, then I'd be ****ed

it was only a small hairline scratch that you couldn't even see when you turn the ds on, i'm thinking they said that price so they can save themselfs money they will probaly offer the same price to you as they look at the ds lite in detail, they also test games on your ds to make sure it is working, i brought a zelda gold ds lite too, just waiting for it to arrive.
