Played the campaign co-op this evening and some moments (Xbox 360 vers), particularly creeping past those buggers, were intense. It looks shod in places, the shooting is generic, it totally spazes out at times....but it's Aliens - plenty of decent fan service and some cool bits.
I must admit, the co-op makes the game slightly better but you still have the dumb as **** friendly AI with you holding your hand the whole time. The thing they do I like the most is when I decide to backtrack in a level to find extra supplies then they follow me and stop at a random point in the level.

Can you imaging trying to explain to a 10 year old now that a, games used to come on tape, what's a tape they would say, and that you have to load the game through your terminal via a command prompt, how times change and how old we get so quickly.

better believe it - i'm 41 this year

I can remember being 18, like it was yesterday....

golden days though - no internet, no mobie phones, 8 minutes for a game to load and not a care in the world!

Not far from 8 minutes to load a game today to be honest, after you've logged into your online account, dug your way through the advertisement-board, loaded your avatar, updated the game...

True enough but if it had the ocean loading music it would make it go quicker!

BBC News has conducted an experiment to see what pupils of today make of the Commodore 64 home computer, as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Primary development was outsourced to TimeGate Studios, which has a less than stellar past.
I hope it proves me wrong, as I still have alot of friends still working at Gearbox, but I am expecting it to be average at best."
Well that explains a lot and why they were showing multiplayer only at all these events.

I think Timegate made Section 8 didn't they which was a bit of a shocker.

I remember going into Woolworths as a child & seeing Robocop action figures in there even tho the film was 15 rated. Mental!!

SEGA should just give the license to Activision, even if they are money whores, atleast they'd deliver a competent COD clone.

18! It's still one of the most violent action movies to this day, I also had all the figures.

I think my all time memory of the C64 is when I was round a friends house down the road playing a darts game on his c64. Not sure which one maybe 180 by Mastertronic or something, anyway we had a huge game and it came down to the final 3 darts each. He needed a single double to win and managed to miss it with all three darts and I went on next and did a three dart check out like a shanghai or something outrageous to win.

Such was the tension and pressure that he grabbed the joystick from my hands, turned it upside and started hammering away at the c64 shouting "STUPID COMPUTER STUPID COMPUTER!!" The spring loaded keys started spinning off all over the shop and I ran home in a panic. Later that day his mam brought him round to say sorry and also said they had managed to get all the keys back on ok.
