What has everyone been playing this week?

Defence Grid XBLA.

It's my first taste of tower defence and I love it! The amount of challenges is astounding too, I can't imagine how many hours I'm gonna get from this!

I also appear to be a tactical genius because I'm beating everyone on my friends list in the leaderboards, despite my inexperience.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite [PSP] - only game I've played this year I think. 17 hours in and I don't think I've even reached the surface, never mind scratched it! Dabbled with a few weapon types but decided to settle on the dual blades for the time being. Congalala is going to be my next prey!

Sleep mode on the PSP is perfect for this type of game - 20 minute blatsts here and there that wouldn't be possible on a home console.

HL2 or Counter-Strike: Source (and possibly some other Source-based games). It allows you to then download the Source SDK in order to play (it will do this automatically).

We love it here. It's been tweaked to feel just like Goldeneye (but on a keyboard/mouse) even down to having no crosshair unless you hold a button. Mind you, it's not my fault if you don't like it *cough*

Half-Life 2

Needed something to play while waiting for Mass Effect 2, so I opened a copy of Final Fantasy XII, still in plastic wrapping after at least a year from buying it dirt cheap and started playing it. Pretty cool game.

Before that I played through Vice City Stories (on PS2) a second time (played through Vice City not too long ago). What can I say, I just love the 80's atmosphere and especially the music of Vice City, even though this isn't as good as the original game.

Also, have been going through Gears of War 2 with a friend in co-op.

Mass Effect this weekend, want to complete it - although this isn't driven by any desire to rush straight onto the sequel. Merely to get it done. Enjoying it though.

Finally went back to 100% PixelJunk Shooter, also been dipping in and out of Ridge Racer 7 (still want 6 to finish few achievements off) short bursts of Cubixx (PSP mini) and Bit.Trip.Void on WiiWare the best Bit game so far, although the new one Runner looks awesome.
Was thinking about getting the GBA out and finishing a few games on that too, mainly Metroid Zero Mission and Minish Cap.

Biohazard 5. I'm trying to get the platinum Trophy before the Alternative Edition comes out. I need to get 2 more treasures and I'm done.

I just had my first ever go at Team Fortress 2 on the PC, I don't think I blinked once in 40minutes. ><

edit: As excellent as this Goldeneye mod is it controls nothing like the original, no strafe-sprint or weight to anything - it's just Half-Life with Goldeneye coloured in over the top of it. It's one awesome re-skin job though, the lighting and textures are ace.

The Perfect Dark mod is just the same but with nowhere near as much time spent on it.

TF2 is where it's at for me until PD XBLA.

Finished this now and it was great fun overall and a joy to play. I'd get the sequel no trouble which is quite an accolade given my history with the genre.

Motorstorm: Arctic Edge
Played some more and the usual franchise trouble of poor AI balancing reared its head so it got shelved. A shame as before that I think it was my fave of the series.

Yakuza
With Yakuza 3 soon to arrive I figured the 5 year wait to start the first should come to an end. So far it's alright, compared to games of its era it's nothing special though. I can see why it's loved by its fans but also why it'll never sell as a series over here. One thing though... Shenmue owns this
